Of Flame, Water, and Love

Scorpius quietly leaned against the tree, basking in the myriad of colors accompanying the rising sun. Birds chirped exuberantly to greet the morning, and the giant squid rose out from the inky depths of the lake. Scorpius felt a gentle heat, the prospects of the new day spreading warmth to his extremities. He watched as the golden disc of light slowly outstripped the horizon, a blinding orb on a quest to travel the sky. An idea forced him fully upright and he stood, reveling in the new light, before he quietly raised his wand.
Meanwhile, Rose stood in the dormitories. Peering out the window, she acknowledged the beauty of the world at this hour before deciding that an early day of flight awaited her. She snuck out before heading to the Gryffindor broom closet, her steps echoing eerily in the early morning silence. She removed her broom from the rack, fondly looking over the worn and pitted surface, before heading out side and taking flight.
Scorpius gently said the spell. As a stream of fire left his wand, he moved his arm, conducting the unheard melody of the morning, of life, of everything. The ribbon of fire developed a life of its own, and moved to caress his body. Scorpius unflinchingly embraced it, content with the knowledge that all is not always what it appears to be. The ribbon grew, tendrils of fire embracing him until it covered him like a blanket. A phoenix, its song drifting on borrowed wings, joined him, dancing through air and fire alike.
Rose landed next to him and closed her eyes. Her wand, and through it, her soul, drew upon the silver water in the lake. She allowed the cool liquid to envelope her, her breath unhampered by her aquatic realm. A small water dragon spiraled around her, his wings unfurled, and gently nuzzled her like an extremely intimidating dolphin. She the allowed her eyes to open, and the clear pools of virtue shined blue in the early morning light. She slowly turned towards her companion.
The phoenix and dragon suddenly swerved off course, meeting once before saying goodbye. Scorpius held out his arm in a clear invitation to dance. They swayed together, their movements mimicking the intimate dance of fire and water as they forgot their differences and truly became one. They sighed into the other's embrace, before gently laying themselves down. They then proceeded to talk about nothing and everything before heading back up to the castle.
AN: Yea, the endings horrible, and I seem to have a word limit on narration, but here you go! Sub-par, quiet frankly. Read and Review!
