Dear Dallas,

I'm not used to writing letters under these circumstances, but I figured I'd let you know now so that you don't stay up all night worrying about where I am. I'm going to be in Vasel for a few days while we attempt to clean up the rubble from the last battle. I'm not too thrilled about having to go back there...Rosie's been put in charge of my team, and for some reason I get stuck with all the heavy lifting. She should know better than to expect me to lift a bunch of heavy bricks off the street. I sure wish Largo were here right now. He's big and strong; he could help us get the job done in half the time.

Oh! I heard that you, Claudia and Ramsey got promoted to Private First Class, and were picked to help the engineering team maintain the Edelweiss. Congratulations! I always knew you were good at construction and repairs and stuff. Alicia would certainly be proud. I know how nervous you can get around the other guys, but I promise you that they won't hurt or anything. If you still have trouble, you can always ask Claudia or Ramsey to help you out.

One more thing: I included a cassette tape along with this letter. It's by some famous old-timey singer...can't quite remember her name right now. The clerk at the store was nice enough to let me listen to it before I bought it. The third song on the "B" side is one of my favorites, and I hope you'll like it, too. It reminds me of that night when you first asked me to kiss you. It was certainly...a unique experience, and I don't think I'll forget it any time soon. Anyway, I probably should get going now. It's almost time for my little break to end. Stay safe, Dallas! Keep smiling for me and the girls back at HQ, okay?

Lots of love,

Edy Nelson
