This is my first fanfic EVER! So please tell me what you think.

P.S I know my chapters are short but they are going to get longer once I know exactly where the story is going
"You know I'm only going to the prom because my mom is making me come" Jake said with an exasperated sigh. He turned to Sam and fell speechless. She turned in a circle, showing off her sky blue evening gown. Jake stared at her in amazement, she had curled her long auburn hair and gathered it up in a high ponytail that reached down a little past her shoulders, a few stray tendrils of hair framed her heart-shaped face."You look...amazing" Jake said "you don't look to bad yourself" Sam said eyeing the suit and tie he was wearing. "Shall we" Jake asked. He offered his arm to Sam and led her out to his car.
3 hours later it was nearing 11:30, the end of the prom. Sam and Jake had danced to almost every song and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, now it was time to go so they said goodbye to all Sam's friends and walked out to Jake's car. "You know what would make this night even better" Jake said "What?" Sam asked "A midnight ride on Ace and Witch" "We're not really dressed for it" Sam pointed out "I think we have a sidesaddle somewhere in the barn" Jake joked "I don't think so unless it's for you" Sam shot back. They rode in silence the rest of the way home covered in memories of the night, when they finally pulled up in front of Sam's house she was surprisingly wide awake. "Would you like me to walk you to the door" Jake asked "uh sure" Sam answered. They got out of the car and headed up the path to Sam's front door. "So…yeah I had a good time tonight" Jake said "Me, too" Sam smiled up to him. Suddenly he was leaning towards her, their lips touched in the gentlest of kisses that sent an electric shock through Sam's body that left a tingling feeling in her toes. "G'night" Jake whispered in her ear. She was speechless. As he turned away and walked down the path he smiled faintly knowing that he was going to thank his mom. Big time.
Sam glanced at her computer and saw that an instant message box had popped up. She recognized the screen name "bkvandal" it was Darby! She couldn't wait to see how the Phantom's baby sis was doing. She wasn't able to remember her name oh well anything relating to Zanzibar was worth knowing about.
