Another original Jay-Jay story by Samantha613, this time it's "Oscar Tries Something New" Enjoy and comment.
When a rainstorm hits Tarrytown, everyone goes to the shelter, except for Old Oscar. It's up to Brenda to show him that trying new things can be fun.
It was normal day in Tarrytown, until it began to get cloudy with thick grey clouds.
Then it began to rain heavily.
Everyone started to look for shelter from the rainstorm.
"It's raining, everyone should go into the shed!", said Jay-Jay.
"Right, everyone, into the shelter right now.", said Tracy.
Everyone headed to the shelter, except Oscar. He stayed in his place in the hanger.
"But I don't want to go into the shelter!" protested Old Oscar stubbornly. "I want to stay in here, where it's warm and cozy. And I like to watch the rain."
Just then, Brenda Blue came over.
Oscar, the shelter will be more safer for you," assured Brenda. "You can still watch the rain, just in a different area."
"No thank you, I want to stay in this hanger.", said Oscar.
Old Oscar remained to his protest and stayed in the hanger, watching the heavy downpour. Then he felt lots of raindrops on himself. He felt cold and wet.
"It sure does feel cold and damp in here.", thought Oscar, "but I still like it here in the hanger".
A little while later, Brenda Blue came over.
"Hello, Oscar. Are you okay in here?", Brenda Blue said.
"I'm fine. It's just a bit cold and wet.", replied Oscar.
"Oscar, I know you like it here in the hanger, but you've should try the new shelter. It's safer there and you could even like it there. Trying new things can be fun.", Brenda Blue said to Oscar.
"Well, okay. I'll try it.", Oscar said.
So Old Oscar went over to the shelter with Brenda Blue.
He looked around and saw that he could still see the rain coming down, it felt it safer, and all of his friends were there with him.
"Hey, I actually like it in this shelter. You were right, Brenda. It is fun to try something new.", Oscar said.
"Of course. I knew you would. And everyone else is happy for you as well.", Brenda Blue said while everyone else were glad to Oscar there.
Once the rainstorm was over, everyone was glad that it was nice again and they were all safe.
And Old Oscar learned a lesson on how trying new things can be fun.
