A/N: It's just a tiny little something, few words really, that I couldn't get out of my head after watching again a vid with the final LoVe scene yesterday. Basically it's what I like to think was in Veronica's head in those few seconds she shared the Epic Look with Logan. Because they're meant to be. Enjoy and tell me what you think. Oh, I'm not a native speaker and that little piece is not betayed so sorry for all the mistakes.
So that's what love is about..., she thinks when she looks in those two brown orbs, the eyes that have been with her in most precious and most terryfieing moments of her life, and she sees it, she sees her fucked up world, the one filled with deceptions and pain, lost innocence and destroyed hopes; the one full of broken souls and wrongs that couldn't have been rightened. It's not a perfect world, it's not even close to it, but it's hers. Hers and his.
For the first time in very long she really, actually looks at the boy, no, man in front of her and breaths, a breath that burns her lungs, that makes her feel alive. Because love does that thing to you, it sharpens all of your senses, it makes every cell in your body tremble with life. Looking in those eyes gives her a feeling of a boat that ships to the shore. After the forever when she really felt like she's out of this world, again she gets the feeling of belonging, and what stuns her the most, is the fact that she no longer puts the mark of equality between 'belonging' and 'being trapped'.
Because here in this moment, when the world around stops just for that second, she finally gets that it's all about not having to say a word to be understood, about fighting the fights together even if apart, about being ready to give everything and give up everything, give up life for the other one. That's what love is about.
He might've done so many things wrong, but that one thing he's been doing in a way that no one else could do, loving her was his whole life. They've always liked to compete with each other, try to be the better one. Maybe it's time to try and outrun him on this field, too? Yeah, she thinks, a lopsided grin on her face, it's time to start living again.
THE END
