Day 1
When Damon Salvatore was a young boy his mother always said that he would be a great investigative journalist one day he would just have to wait for his big break. He had done small stories here and there that no one ever paid attention to not until the day she disappeared.
It had happened one dark stormy night in the town of Mystic Falls Elena Gilbert had been on a night out with her best friends Caroline Forbes, Bonnie Bennett, Matt Donovan, and his brother Stefan Salvatore when she disappeared. Her friends had claimed that they had no idea where she went but Damon thought they were hiding something. Something much darker.
Shaking his head Damon stared out looking upon the students of Mystic Falls High School. Tears welled up in their eyes as the principal relied information about Elena Gilbert and her disappearance and how if they knew something about it to please cooperate with the authorities.
Everyone around him seemed immersed in the idea of trying to find Elena Gilbert the most popular and genuine girl in the entire school, but Damon wanted so much more than that. He wanted to find out what the hell had happened to her. Who would want to hurt Elena Gilbert? And where the hell was she now?
