Tears poured from her pleading emerald eyes as the male in front of her stepped back slowly, his heart ached but if he was to keep her safe he had to leave. Her hands clutched at her chest where her heart was underneath as though she was trying to keep it from breaking.
"Please don't leave me…" Her voice seemed to echo in his head and his heart shattered.
Suddenly the boy jerked up in bed, he sighed in relief as he realized it was just a nightmare. The very feminine body beside him shifted and the twenty-year-old girl beside him murmured something in her native language that sounded like a complaint.
A smile graced the male's lips as he looked down at his angel, though he'd had this dream many times she was always there beside him when he woke up and it relaxed him. He slipped back down under the warm covers and gently pulled the red haired alien princess to his chest. No matter what he dreamed he knew he'd never be able to leave her.
