"Bill! Watch where you're shooting!" a man in his mid thirties yelled back towards an old man in his late 60's, "Well I'm sorry if it hurt that much1" Bill spat back whacking him with the end of his gun. "Guys! Do you hear that?" a younger girl asked turning her head in the direction of the gunshot, another shot and they were sprinting down the stairs.

Another person not far behind soon pursued his teammates, just as excited as they were. A woman in her thirties was fending off a horde. On her own. Bill was the first to react, shooting a Hunter sneaking up on her. She turned around and nearly forgot about the horde behind her, the girl smiled and called out. "I'm Zoey! Don't worry, we are NOT infected!"

The other girl nodded then went back to fighting the horde; vomit was on her hair, face and clothes. She seemed slightly flustered; Bill slowly approached the woman unsure whether she would lash out at them.

"Hi! I'm Hazel." She introduced herself shaking the retired veterans hand, she was strong that's for sure. "Well I'm Bill, that's Louis, Francis and well you already know Zoey." He pointed at them then checked her over, "Would you like to come with us Hazel? We could always use another helping hand." He suggested making sure nothing was waiting for them.

"Thank you Bill for the offer but…I've been bit and I'm not sure if I'm immune or not." Hazel mumbled looking at him with a worried expression, "You are very honest aren't you?" Bill stated smiling at her briefly.

"C'mon, there's a safe house not far ahead." Bill told her as they continued forward, the new member seeming a bit put off being with other people. What happens if I hurt them? I'll never forgive myself.' Hazel questioned in her mind, her thoughts tangled like a web. Spinning uncontrollably, "Excuse me." She jumped at the voice startled by Louis' interference.

"I couldn't help but realize the look on you're face…Anything I can help you with?" he asked a bit concerned for her health, "No, no. Don't need you worrying about me. I'm perfectly fine." She murmured the last part. 'Liar, he just wants to help.' "Bill told me. He told all of us." Louis explained watching her stop dead in her tracks.

"But, it's OK, we don't mind. I believe we can trust you." Louis assured placing a hand on her shoulder; Hazel nodded smiling gratefully at him. "Thank you Louis, you're the kindest person I've met since this thing started." She complimented growing attached to him instantly, 'Now I just have to hope everyone else will accept me.' But of course. The life of Hazel just wasn't easy to live.
