He bore the stares with tolerance; the whispers and the looks of appraisal directed at him were of no importance. He was taking a leisurely stroll, and blast if those pitiful female ningen would spoil his mood.
He decided he would spare them a glance, to see if they were anything worth noting. As he did, he caught the eyes of an attractive young female carrying a basket of apples, whose heart raced and cheeks flushed.
He scowled at the obvious weakness she was displaying, disgusted, and decided to return home.
