Off the hook.

...

"Simba..." Nala purred into his ear.

"Mrhmm..." Simba growled without opening his eyes.

Nala tugged at his ear.

"Simba..." She purred again.

"Nala." He growled as he shook her off.

Nala huffed and lay down on the grass beside him. She watched the ants scuttle by on the ground boredly until Simba opened an eyelid.

"Nala?" He smiled mischievously as he licked her face.

Nala remained huffing but was finding it difficult. Simba was like a child, you couldn't be mad at him for longer than a few minutes.

"Nala..." He purred as he licked her ear.

Nala turned towards him with a smile. Their noses touched. Simba smirked.

"See... you're not mad. You smiled, I'm off the hook. I'm going back to sleep."

For a moment Nala was speechless.

Then she shoved him.
