We're almost in the clear, speeding away from the Leviathan, when a gunshot shatters the back window.

It's an almost impossible 2500 yard shot.

The car swerves on the dirt road, Dean's surprised eyes locking with mine for a second, before I notice one hand on his chest, blood seeping between his fingers.

Realization hits me just as the car swerves into a ditch, slamming to a standstill against the embankment. Adrenalin has me moving before I can think, leaning over my fading brother as I ease back his shirt.

Oh, God.

Dick's an expert marksman, never misses his target.
