Funny, that he felt cold now, when he had lived in the nippy dungeons all year long. He was probably getting old.
Snowflakes were falling, landing on his black frame, a stark contrast to the white winterland of Hogsmeade.
"A sickle or a smile?"
He turned to see a tiny urchin, dressed in the thinnest rags, teeth chattering, with a battered can held out to his waist.
Smiling, he grabbed the boy's hand and apparated to the gates of Hogwarts.
