This is a poem about the Doctor's and Martha's relationship. If anything needs explaining, don't hesitate to ask!

Disclaimer: I own nothing, doo da, doo da, I own nothing doo da doo da day...

Martha

A new beginning—

Or the end.

Torn apart by universes, still

Beating in his hearts.

Recognise does she, oblivious

is he…

A fool with a broken soul

One who shall't be compared to a summer's day—

Couldn't fix

Filling the loneliness, a code

To complete the formula, had she lived many more lives.

A monster created,

More lost than he,

A human at heart—

Another foolish human with emotions

—unbearable.

They met on the moon.

A cliché no doubt,

Ask him yourself –that, was genetic transfer—

If you like…

Believe his fairy-tales—

If you dare,

The man with a home—

Where?

The man with an equal, a friend once a time,

Drummed fire and ice and rage into their heads,

No mercy to be shown

One tenth of the population—

Nothing…

A human man - incapable of love.

Come into my parlour,

Said the Lord to the Saviour—

Don't let me abandon you.

You know what humans are like.

The one who thinks himself nothing, hides away—

The one who thinks him all, seeks more

Save me…?

Yes, of course. Another distressed—

equal?

Yes of course. No. Attachment and

Detachment.

No further can this course run. Not when the skies are made of diamonds

And—

Martha, Thanks.

Just one more thing,

If it isn't too much to ask.

Lie for me,

Like I lied to you, about—

the past, present...future?

So, was it just a dream?

That day alone?

No.

That lifetime.
