Over A Year

It had been one year since Roy had spoken to Mullet Fingers. Over this time he had changed much he had grown about 1 foot and was taller then Beatrice Leep his best friend in all of Coconut Cove,Florida. As he was riding his bike to the hide-out where Beatrice a few hours ago had said to come to after school, he was in deep thought mostly of Beatrice "The Bear" Leep. She had changed some but, not much she was still a major soccer jock and still had an attitude that could kill you if it was a weapon. As he rode on he was thinking of her physical features he had never realized until this year the way her hair was a golden blonde and her skin had a sunkissed glow how her eyes were piercing and yet gentle with her brother and himself. He remebered the first time she had come to him when Lonna had fought with her Dad and how she was calm and easy about breaking into his home but, he knew deep inside she wanted to cry she had cried only once around him and that was when Mullet had been bitten by a dog again and this time they couldn't take him to the hospital. Mullet had surprised them so many times when he miracuosaly(sp?) recovered it didn't shock him or Beatrice. Now he had gotten close to the hide-out well you really call it a hideout it was actually a gazzeboa(sp?) deep in the woods.
When he finally parked his bike he heard voices. "No Mullet I can't tell him!" this voice obviously belonged to non-other then Beatrice Leep, Roy walked closer."You have to Bee if he dosen't know you'll never forgive you'rself!" this was also a fairly famimaliar voice to Roy it was old Mullet Finger okay well his real-name was Napolean Bridger Leep, Roy began walking even more closer."Wait a second." Roy knew he was caught."Mullet what is it?" asked Beatrice. "It's Tex I'd know his footsteps anywhere." and with that Mullet came up behind him."Okay Bee now here he is I'll see you two kids later." and with that Mullet Fingers had leaped over a bush and was out of sight."So," started Beatrice,"How much did you hear?"."Who were you and Mullet talking about?" asked Roy.Beatrice took a deep breath and sighed,"Well Tex we were talking about you."."What about me?" questioned Roy giving Beatrice a "Don't-Lie-To-Me"look."Fine then okay Tex,"strained Beatrice,"I like you way more then a freind and...". She was intruptted by Roy pressing his lips on hers. At first she was shocked then she kissed back when they finally broke apart for air Roy gasped"Oh God Beatrice I'm sorry its just..."he trailed off."Tex you talk to much." and with that said they kissed again. Mullet from the bushes was looking at the new couple as the sun-set."Wow alot has changed over on year."
