Tomb Raider: Legend
A Novelisation
Prologue
On a dark, stormy night, an airplane flew in the sky. In the cockpit were two pilots, and further in the plane was Lady Amelia Croft, and young Lara, her daughter. Lara was showing her mother her drawings of yeti.
"Just because you've never found one, doesn't mean they're not real.", said Lara to her mother.
Lara leaned back against her mother, but leaned on her pendant that Lord Croft gave her.
"Perhaps that's true. But maybe they don't want to be found. I hear they're rather fierce.", Amelia replied.
"Yeti only look fierce. They probably don't like being so cold all the time. I shouldn't like it either."
Amelia smiled, "You never have to be cold, my Lara, if you don't want to be."
Just then, Lara noticed an orange color coming from the left wing.
"Look!"
The plane shook, knocking Amelia and Lara off of the seat.
"Henry, what's happened?!", asked Amelia to one of the pilots.
"Lady Croft, please stay seated!", he replied.
Lara looked out the window to see that the left wing had caught on fire. Amelia grabbed Lara's arm, and swung her into another seat, and wrapped the seatbelt around her waste buckling her in. Amelia struggled to get into the seat across from Lara.
"Are we going to crash?", asked Lara calmly.
Amelia buckled herself in. "Not unless it's absolutely necessary.", she replied reassuringly.
"Stabilizers jammed, losing altitude, we're going full nose down!", screamed the second pilot.
"Close your eyes, darling.", said Amelia, not wanting Lara to see whatever happened next.
"I don't want to close my eyes.", replied Lara.
Amelia smiled on her daughter's bravery. The plane went down, and crashed, with the two pilots, Amelia, and Lara inside.
I'm currenly working on the first chapter, titled Bolivia: Tiwanaku.
Please bear with me if I do not update soon. I'm replaying each level and making them into chapters, so I'm replaying the levels in order for accuracy in the events and the dialogue.
Thank you for reading, and please check back soon for updates!
