Alrightly so here is a long One Shot. But I just had to write something else aside from what I'm working on now and give my mind a breather from it. So this is what turned out. And I'm honestly surprised at how quickly and effortlessly I wrote this. I'm proud of how it turned out and while you are reading I hope you enjoy it. It's based in a 1910 French style city. SO the ground and buildings are made from brick and the fashion is of that time. But with a modern twist to it.

So without anymore delay, please enjoy the read.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of Inuyasha.

Kagome sat at her makeup station looking back at herself. Her rosy cheeks and satin red lips seeming even more so in the light of the dressing room area. She sighed and looked down at her hands. Sitting there was a letter and a blood red rose. No doubt from the stalker she had acquired since her first performance at the Takashi Theater. She had come to audition for a role a year ago in a musical that they desperately needed a replacement for. At first the younger Takashi brother didn't like her. Thought she was too much like the person she was replacing, but his brother, who was the one who made all the decisions, wanted her. In his eye she was perfect for the role and after that musical he had her sign a contract for five more performances. That was when the obsession from this stalker started.

She sighed again and picked up the letter. The writing was as usual neat and proper. He had congratulated her on such an amazing performance and looked forward to her next performance. She wadded the piece of paper up and threw it in the trash bin. No one ever saw him and no one ever knew who he was. He obviously came to each performance and no one could tell her who was leaving these little messages for her.

She felt a hand touch her shoulder and she looked up into her mirror to see Inuyasha Takashi, the younger Takashi brother, her lover. Since her first performance the two had become very close in more ways than one. She enjoyed his company; he was also very handsome and made quite the lover indeed. He picked up the rose and held it up to his face as if it would be engraved with the name of the giver. "He leave this for you?" he asked, knowing full well of the answer. She nodded. He sighed and let the rose fall to her makeup counter. "We will find him Kagome. There's only so many times he can up before we start recognizing him."

She stood. That wasn't the first time she had heard that. This was her fourth performance. How many more for them to realize one person was a regular? She looked back at him, "If your men haven't figured out who he is by now what makes you think they will?" She was fearful of this unknown man. What happened when his letters turned into showing up on her door step?

"You know they are working hard to find him, Kagome, there isn't much to go on. All he does is congratulate you and sign as the Rose Thief. He could be anyone. These things take time." He said and walked over to her taking him into his arms. "As long as you are with us you are safe."

She nodded. She knew that. She knew that not just Inuyasha but all of the theater performers would protect her, even the cold Sesshomaru. She was after all his prized performer. He also made it known, which she didn't care too much for but dealt with. She shrugged from Inuyasha's hug and smiled at him. "So I know you and Sesshomaru have been talking about writing a new contract for me. How many performances are in this one?"

He smiled as well, "Ten," He laughed, "Sesshomaru doesn't want to let you go."

Kagome laughed as well, "Why would he? I'm amazing!" She said as she unzipped her dress to change. The dress fell to the floor and her bare skin was left for Inuyasha to gaze at. There was something about her soft, pale skin that just made him want to touch her; and so he did.

He grabbed her waist as her arms went up to cover her bare chest. His nose nestled the crook of her neck and he inhaled the scent of her. A mix of rose petals and sweat invaded his nose. He always loved the way she smelled. It was one of the things that had drawn him to her when they first met. He was at first against her but that didn't stop her from breaking down the walls to his heart. She moaned against his touch, "Inuyasha." She whispered. Oh the sound of his name on her lips made him shiver. She giggled, "I have to put clothes on."

He growled low in his throat, "No you don't." He protested.

"You wish I go to dinner in the buff?" She laughed. "If that is what you wish."

His eyes opened as he remembered the custom of going out to dinner with his closest friends from the theater after each opening night performance. He sighed in defeat and let her go, "You should wear the blue dress I bought you last month."

She smiled and shook her head. She remembered when he had bought it. It was two sizes to small and they had to get it altered. He had then admitted that he just liked the low neck line and the royal blue that it was. He didn't even think about size. She walked into her closet and looked for it. She looked a little confused and sort of laughed, "It's not here." She said loud enough for him to hear.

He walked over to her closet and looked around, "Did you loan it to anyone?" She gave him a look that gave the obvious answer, no. "Well did you take it off at your parent's house or at my house?"

"Why would I take it off and not put it back on? You know I keep all my clothes here." Which she had cursed herself sometimes but she basically lived either at Inuyasha's house or at the theater. She had no need to live with her parents anymore, much to their chagrin. She grabbed a purple dress that was much simpler than the blue dress and stepped into it, using Inuyasha to balance herself. He pulled the zipper up as she stepped into a pair of purple shoes. "That's strange. I'll have to ask Sango if she maybe grabbed it on accident."

He nodded as they walked out of the dressing room and out onto the street. They always went to the same place, Oni's Café. It was a nice French café that had opened around two years ago and the workers knew them there and knew how they acted but were completely fine with it. When Inuyasha and Kagome got there they saw their friends already inside, two empty chairs waiting for them.

Kagome had loved this life that she was unexpectedly thrown into. It was by chance that she had auditioned that year ago. She needed a job or her mother was going to find her a rich man to marry and be sent away. And knowing her mother, she would send her away very far. She had instantly won the heart of Sesshomaru. Not just with her beauty either, she had pure talent and he recognized that and swore not to let her go. Which she was later told it was very unusual to sway that man. Only one other woman had done it and she was now his wife. Inuyasha had been harder to persuade. But she won him over on opening night of Phantom of the Opera, her first performance. She had played an excellent Christine.

The two walked into the café and sat down next to their friends. Miroku was the first to notice them. He was the lecherous one in the group. He had also played alongside her as the phantom, and he did so amazingly, captivating the whole audience. "Well look who finally decided to show up." He laughed and nudged Inuyasha's arm, "Had your way with her didn't ya, you dirty man." He smirked, knowing that would bother the man.

"Why don't you keep your thoughts to yourself?" Sango, one of Kagome's closest friends, asked. "It's none of your business."

He laughed, "Oh fine my little rose bud."

Sango rolled her eyes and looked at Kagome, "Something wrong?"

Kagome looked up at her, "Did you borrow my blue dress?"

"The one Inuyasha bought you?" Kagome nodded, "Kagome, I can't fit that dress why would I borrow it?" Sango asked turning to her cup of tea and stirring it some before taking a sip.

Kagome looked around for the waitress and raised her hand to get her attention, "It's missing and you are the only one who goes in there so I was just wondering if you had taken it by accident or something."

Sango pondered on that for a moment, "I don't think I did. I can check my closet when I go home tonight though."

Kagome nodded. "Thank you." She looked at the menu thoughtfully and leaned over to Inuyasha, "What are you getting?"

"What I always get." He said as if it the most obvious thing in the world.

She wanted to try something new tonight. When the waitress came around she looked up, "May I have a raspberry tea, please." She said and waited for the waitress to jot that down before looking back at the menu.

"Um..are you Kagome Higurashi?" The waitress asked.

Kagome looked up, "Yes, why?"

The waitress held out an envelope to her. "Someone dropped this off a few moments ago and asked it be given to you."

"Did they leave a name?" Kagome asked taking the envelope noticing the rose decals on it. She knew who it was from without the waitress answering.

"All they said was to give it to you. I'll be back with your tea." The woman left.

The whole table looked at Kagome. She turned the envelope over and on the back was a rose wax seal. Her heart became heavy with dread. This was the first time the Rose Thief had given her a letter twice in one night. And he knew where she was, that scared her just a little more. She felt Inuyasha touch her arm, "Are you going to open it?"

She knew he was really asking her if she wanted him to open it. She set her menu down and looked at him then at her friends, they were all on the edge of their seats. She could tell.

"Wait," Came the voice of Sesshomaru's wife, Rin, "Kagome, know that we are here and we won't let anything happen to you, right Sesh?" Sesshomaru nodded.

Kagome looked from Rin to the envelope. She slid her finger under the flap and unsealed it. Her fingers found the letter and she pulled it out. She opened it and looked at everyone; she knew they wanted to hear it. The waitress had returned and set her cup of tea down, "Would you like to order now?"

Kagome felt a relief come from having to wait to read the letter and looked up at the waitress, "I'll have the Steak Tartar. Thanks." She said hastily.

The waitress looked at Inuyasha, "I'll have the same thing and a glass of water please."

She nodded and took their menus and walked away. Kagome looked back at the envelope.

My Dearest Kagome,

I couldn't help myself and had to write to you again tonight. But after seeing the interactions between you and the half demon I became enraged. I know it is not your fault; he has you under some sort of spell. But I will forgive him for now. You will soon be with me and all will be well. I must say that you do look wonderful in purple and I am so glad you couldn't find that blue dress. It was a ghastly thing and I hope you never find it. Though do not think ill of me, my love, I find you most beautiful in simply nothing. Enjoy you tea my dear.

Love you faithful lover,

The Rose Thief

Everyone was silent after Kagome finished reading it. She couldn't believe herself. The man had been following her, spying on her. He had watched the intimate moment she shared with Inuyasha earlier and he knew that her dress was missing.

Sesshomaru was the first to speak, "You will not leave her side Inuyasha." He then looked at Miroku, "We need to get tighter security, and no one goes into the back anymore." He looked at Rin, "I want full back ground reports on all the performers we hired a year ago till now." He then looked at Kagome, "This was the final straw. If he thinks he can steal my star performer then he has another thing coming."

She nodded, knowing it was more than that. She knew she held a special place in his heart; he just didn't want to admit to it. She picked up her tea and took a sip. It tasted funny. She looked down at it and noticed it was an odd color. Miroku noticing her confusion looked at her, "What's wrong?" he asked.

She looked up, "It taste funny. I order this every time I come here. It must have been an old brew or something." she said setting it down. She looked up at Inuyasha placing her hand on his cheek, "Are you okay?"

He looked at her loving eyes, "He called you his. He said he likes you best without clothes on, Kagome; that must mean he has seen you bare more times than I'd like to think." He clenched his hand into a fist.

Sango snapped her fingers, pulling Kagome's attention away from Inuyasha for a moment, "What if he took the dress?"

Kagome hadn't thought of that. It would make sense, but then he could have just heard her say that it was missing. Inuyasha spoke while she was thinking, "That would make sense. He wanted something that reminded him of Kagome, something that smelled like her." Kagome shivered.

"Something that had been against her bare skin." Miroku added. The whole table looked at him. "What? That's what I'd do, if I was obsessed with someone. It smells like her, it was one of her most treasured dresses and it had touched those most private areas that he himself wishes to touch. Why wouldn't he steal it?"

Kagome gave another shudder and Inuyasha rubbed her hand with his thumb. "I won't let him get near you again. We will keep all the blinds pulled at my house as well."

Kagome nodded and looked at the plate that was just put down in front of her, the raw meat now seeming unappetizing. She picked it up with her fork and began to eat it anyways. At the end of the meal everyone paid their check and they all stood getting ready to leave. Kagome looked at her tea again and noticed how she had drunk about half of it even though it tasted so odd. She pushed her chair out and stood up and walked outside to be next to her friends.

She grabbed Inuyasha's arm, he looked at her, "Are you alright?" he asked her, his voice laced with concern.

She touched her head, "I feel light headed." She said and looked at him. She felt weak as well. She felt her knees to begin to buckle and Inuyasha's arm went around her waist.

"Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha yelled for his brother who had already began walking back to the theater, to no doubt work on the next big performance.

The older man looked back at his brother and noticed Kagome slumped over in his arms. He gracefully, but quickly, walked back to the two, the other friends crowding around them. He looked at the girl, "What happened?" he asked looking at Inuyasha.

"I don't know she just said she felt light headed and then fainted." He said, a bit frantically.

Sesshomaru leaned down and smelled the woman's lips. He sat him quickly. Now it dawned on him. How could he have been so stupid not to suspect anything? "She's been poisoned."

The three standing behind him gasped, "Are you sure?" Rin asked.

He nodded. "We must get her to the house." He said to Inuyasha, who was as white as a sheet. "Inuyasha, did you hear me?"

Inuyasha snapped his head up to his brother, "The tea..?"

Sesshomaru nodded, "We have to get her home and place cool towels on her head. She will soon have a fever that will bring her the brink of death." Sesshomaru stood taking out his pocket watch. "I'm sure we will be receiving a letter within the next few hours as well. Rin, you go home with Inuyasha and make sure he doesn't leave the house." The woman nodded. "Miroku, you come with me. Sango, go ask that waitress who made the tea then for to my house. Miroku and I will be there within an hour." Everyone nodded.

Inuyasha picked Kagome's limp body up and carried her as he and Rin started to walk home. It was just a block away so no need for a car ride.

When they got there Inuyasha took her to his room and laid her down on the bed and started to strip away the dress. He could smell and see that sweat was starting to form on her skin. That bastard! He poisoned her, that Rose Thief. He had said so in the letter, for her to enjoy her tea.

Inuyasha paced the room. Why would he poison her if he loved her? Where was the logic in that? As if hearing Inuyasha's thought Rin answered, "What if he thought if he couldn't have her neither should you?"

He looked up at the small woman now sitting on his bed next to Kagome; she was placing damp cool towels on her body, mainly to cover up her bareness. She looked back at him, "We need to close the blinds." She said and stood.

Inuyasha looked at the window he was next to and walked over to it. He looked out at the streets and observed it just begging for someone to go fleeing. To his dismay no one did so he pulled the curtain closed. He sighed and looked over at Kagome, how did he not detect the poison when the waitress put the cup down in front of Kagome, or suspect something when she said it had tasted odd? He rubbed his temples, this Rose Thief was walking on a thin line and Inuyasha was about to cut that line. He went and sat down on the bed moving some strands of hair off of Kagome's face. He closed his eyes for what felt like five minutes when he heard people talking in the room next to his. The voices came closer and he saw Sesshomaru walk into the room with Miroku, Sango and Rin behind him.

Sesshomaru walked over to the bed and looked at Kagome's face, "How is she?" He asked.

Inuyasha looked down at her still body, "She has a fever."

Sesshomaru nodded and looked at his brother, "Please join us over here." He motioned to the seats Miroku was setting up at the end of the bed.

The five people sat down and looked at each other. Sesshomaru was first to speak, "What did you find out Sango?"

Sango looked up from her hands, "That witless waitress didn't know anything so I asked to speak to the manager. No such luck there either for the man wasn't there." Everyone looked a little discouraged by that information, "But," She continued and everyone once again looked at her, "That waitress did say that he was a fan of our performances. He did nothing but talk about how great they were. She also said that it was weird how every time we were there her boss was never to be seen, as if he was hiding from the fantasy being unraveled."

"Fantasy?" Rin asked.

Sango nodded, "She said that she thought he was a little over obsessed with our performances and if he were to see us as normal people then the fantasy that we play in his head would die."

"That's creepy." Miroku commented.

Everyone seemed to nod in agreement. Inuyasha looked at his brother, "Where did you guys go?"

"To an old friend of mine, I'm sure you remember Kagura?" He asked Inuyasha.

How could he not remember that venomous woman? She was the lover before Rin and she was here all the time and her perfume always attacked his sensitive nose. He scoffed, "Friend?" Sesshomaru sent a glare at him to keep his mouth shut. "Yes I remember her."

"She is kind of a know it all when it comes to poisons, so I went to ask her about this one. By the smell from Kagome's lips I knew it came from a lemon tree. She only has ever heard of one poison coming from a lemon tree so that helped extremely. The irony though is it's called Lovers Kiss."

Inuyasha once again clenched his hands, "Of course that sick bastard would pick one with a name like that."

"Inuyasha, that's not what is important." Miroku said. "If the antidote is not administered within 48 hours then she will die."

Inuyasha looked at his friend, horror evident in his face. "We need to find the antidote." He said just above a whisper.

Sesshomaru sighed and rubbed his eyes, "It's not that easy. It takes time and you have to have the poison." He stood and walked over to the bed side and looked at Kagome, "I think that the Rose Thief will be sending us a letter stating that if we give her to him then he will save her." He looked over at Inuyasha.

"Absolutely not. We are not giving her to some random person who we don't even know." Inuyasha said standing up as well.

Sango touched his arm and he looked down at her, "If it saves her though, we have to do it."

Miroku nodded in agreement, "We can put a tracker on her. One that incase he searches her he can't find. Then we can track her on the computer and be able to get to her after they give the antidote."

Inuyasha was tense. He didn't like the idea at all. He looked over at Kagome, her breathing was heavy and her face twisted in pain. His heart dropped, he hated seeing her like this. "If it will save her," He looked up at Sesshomaru, "Then we will do it. But I want the best tracker you can get your hands on put onto her. I will not let him play hero and keep her."

Sesshomaru nodded and looked over at Miroku, "You know where it is." Miroku nodded and left the room. "Give me one of her socks." He said to Inuyasha.

He looked slightly confused, "Why her sock?"

"I'm going to put the tracker in it. Right under her toes, they wouldn't look there." He said and waited for Inuyasha to hand him the sock. He unrolled it and ran his thumb over it. He walked out of the room and returned a few minutes later. He put a little bit of tissue paper where her toes would be so that if they felt for a tracker they wouldn't find it.

Miroku returned with the tracker and handed it to Sesshomaru.

Rin stood, "I'm going to go make some coffee." She announced and everyone nodded and she left.

Sesshomaru walked over to Kagome and looked at her foot. He placed the tracker under her second toe to see how it fit. He nodded and looked up at Inuyasha, "That should work. Now we wait for the letter." He said setting the sock and tracker down.

"Which has arrived earlier than we expected." Rin said walking back in with a tray of small cracker biscuits. She held in her hand an envelope that had a wax rose seal on the back. She set the tray down on Inuyasha's desk and handed him the envelope.

Inuyasha looked at her then the envelope. He took it from her and turned it over. He slid his finger under the flap and it the seal broke with a satisfactory pop. He pulled the letter out and looked at everyone who had gathered around him.

Dear Half Demon,

It was not my intention to have to take such drastic matters, but I need Kagome with me. As you have no doubtfully found out I poisoned her. I have the antidote to cure her, but I will not give it to the likes of you. You must bring her to the central park at 10 o'clock tonight and I will take her back to my house and give it to her, mouth to mouth. You are not to follow me, if you follow me I will let her die.

The Rose Thief

"Is it me or does this handwriting look very feminine?" Inuyasha asked handing it off to Miroku, the woman expert.

He looked at it and walked over to the lamp sitting on the night stand to get a better look. His human eyes didn't see as well as Inuyasha's demon ones. He nodded, "I would be 70% sure that this is a woman. Though there are a lot of men out there that have woman handwriting." He looked at Sesshomaru, "Not naming any names though."

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes, "Wise idea."

"So a woman is the stalker?" Sango asked.

Miroku shook his head, "I can't be 100% sure."

"Well when we drop her off we will find out." Sesshomaru said. "We must get ready. It is 9:30 already. Miroku you will stay here with the girls. Inuyasha and I will take Kagome to the park. After we make sure the Rose Thief has her we will come back here and check the tracker to find her."

The group nodded at their orders. Inuyasha watched as the others left the room. He looked down at Kagome and picked up all the rags off her body. Looking down at her, he imagined the first time he had seen her bare.

It was the night of her second performance. She had just read the letter of a dear fan who signed as the Rose Thief. She thought it was cute. She looked up at the man after her heart walk into the room. She smiled at him and he smiled back at her. Oh how that face could melt anyone. She stood and wrapped her arms around him when he was standing behind her chair.

"You did wonderfully tonight Kagome."He told her." He kissed her forehead and looked down at her station. "I see you fan wrote to you again."

She nodded, "This person loves me." She giggled. "He praised me very highly."

Inuyasha nodded, "Just as long as it stays as letters and doesn't escalate from that."

She smiled again, "I'm sure it won't." She grabbed her jacket from the back of her chair, "So are we going to dinner?"

He shook his head, "Not this time. Sesshomaru had some sponsors visit tonight so he is currently entertaining them and Sango and Miroku are entertaining themselves." He laughed.

"Well I'm just saying, but it's about time." She laughed lightly as well. "So what are we going to do?"

She hooked her arm around his and the two walked out of the theater. "I was thinking of doing a little entertaining myself." He whispered gruffly in her ear.

Goosebumps covered her body, she had never had a man talk so closely to her ear. He must have none that because he laughed at her reaction. "You are the first." She said playing with a stone her foot had found at the crosswalk they were standing at.

He looked down at her a little shocked. She was a beautiful girl, there was no way he was her first. Since her first performance month prior he had only fantasized about her bare body and how wonderfully she would feel against him. "Are you serious?"

She looked up at him, a slight red tone to her cheeks. "Yes, I didn't want to just give it up to anyone you know."

He had to admit the way she looked right now if they weren't walking along the road he would have ravished her then and there. There was just so much his demon blood could handle. He undid his arm from hers and wrapped it around her shoulders and brought her ear close to his lips. They barely brushed the flesh, "I'll be gentle then."

She blushed again as Goosebumps covered her body again. "O..okay." He smiled, pleased with her reaction. They stopped in front of his house. "Isn't Sesshomaru entertaining guest?" she asked.

"Guess we will have to be quiet." He smirked knowing full well that with him she would not be quiet. Unlike her he was an animal, he was with several women. Some he would not name but he definitely had his share of bed partners. He led her inside and they passed the dining hall where Sesshomaru and Rin were having laughs over some wine with the sponsors. Sesshomaru looked up when he heard him come in and eyed him, giving him the warning glance. Sometimes Inuyasha thought that it was Kagome who was the younger sibling to Sesshomaru and not him with how protective he was over her.

They walked into his room and Inuyasha let go of Kagome to close the door. He looked at her. She was nervous, he could tell. He walked over to her and kissed her forehead. "Come here." He said grabbing her hand and leading her to the bed. He sat her down then walked over to the closet pulling a silk tie out. He walked back over to her and put it over her eyes. "Give me a few minutes."

She twiddled her thumbs waiting for him to finish. She felt his fingers grab her hands and pull her up. He led her over to a warm area and pulled the blind fold off. She looked around and smiled. He had set up candles and pulled some pillows onto the floor. "I thought we could just talk till you were comfortable." He said sitting down.

He looked up at her when she didn't follow. She had this starry look to her eyes. She looked down at him and the look she gave him made his heart stop, she had the most seductive smile and on her face. She removed her jacket and let it fall to the ground. She reached around and pulled the zipper down on her dress. She turned around and let the dress fall down to her hips and she looked back at Inuyasha. He gulped, "I thought this was your first time.."

"I'm an actress, I can adapt to any situation." She smiled.

He looked at the bare back she was putting on display for him. She didn't often wear a bra which he didn't mind, He liked being able to see the natural bounce to her breast. She let the dress fall a little more till it was around her ankles. She turned back to him with her arms over her breast. Her lace underwear didn't cover much but it still left you wanting more. She dropped to her knees in front of him and looked at him. He moved forward and leaned in close to her face, his soft lips grazing over her own, not kissing though. She slowly dropped her arms and put them around Inuyasha's neck making him lean back and she leaned her own body against his. He placed his hand on her back. Her skin was as soft as he had imagined, and not soft like her hands. Much softer and he liked it.

Inuyasha shook his head, now was not the time to think of the first time he made love to her. Though he did give himself a small chuckle, she was definitely not quiet; he had to cover her mouth for almost the whole thing. He grabbed her dress and slid it over her body and sat her up to pull it over her back and zip it up. He laid her back down and grabbed a nearby throw to put around her shoulders. Sesshomaru walked back in and over to the side of the bed. He picked up the tractor and handed it to Inuyasha who put it under her toes. He then handed him the socks. "Where are her shoes?" he asked.

Inuyasha nodded his head over to the closet. Sesshomaru went and grabbed them and brought them back. He put those on himself and looked at Inuyasha. "It's time." He said placing a hand on his shoulder, "She will be fine."

Inuyasha scoffed, "Ya that's what we said when this first started up and now look what we are doing." Inuyasha stood and leaned over wrapping the throw a little tighter around her and picking her up. He walked out of his room Sesshomaru in tow.

When they got down the stairs to the others they all wore the same worried expression. "Inuyasha and I will run to the park and lay her on a bench then walk away some and wait for the person to show. Then we will come back and decide where she is and go from there." Sesshomaru said. He leaned down and gave his short wife a kiss on the cheek.

Miroku watched the two men walk out the door and begin to run towards the park. He closed the door and turned back to the two women, "Everything will be fine. I promise." He said. The women didn't look as convinced as he seemed to be. They just walked back into the dining room and went back to drinking their coffee.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru slowed down when they reached the park. "Over here." Sesshomaru said pointing to a bench.

Inuyasha leaned over placing Kagome's sweating body down carefully. He looked her over trying to imbed her image in the front of his mind. He felt his brothers hand heavy on his shoulder; this was just as hard for him as it was for Inuyasha. He stood back up and the two backed up some and ran up to a nearby building and jumped up onto the roof. The two squatted some to be less visible.

They waiting around five minutes then a dark figure appeared. It almost confused Inuyasha by how petit it was. He watched as it approached Kagome and a small, white hand left the dark robes the person was wearing to glide their fingers across Kagome's face. He clenched his fist, "Enough with the theatrics." He whispered. He knew his brother would hear him, "It's like he's mocking us." Sesshomaru stayed quiet but he had to agree.

The figure bent over and picked Kagome up. You could tell that Kagome's weight was a little too much for the person because they were struggling a bit but managed to carry her into the forest; from there the Takashi brothers couldn't see anything. They stood and jumped down, "We should head back to the house." Sesshomaru said.

Inuyasha nodded but didn't move for a few seconds. He finally turned and started to run back to the house, Sesshomaru close behind him.

Kagome woke to something moving across her lips. She at first thought it was Inuyasha but it wasn't another pair of lips. She opened her eyes and groaned at the light coming from a nearby lamp. She looked up at what was above her. A pale, white face with brown eyes was staring back at her. She blinked a couple times to clear her vision but the person leapt up and walked over to the light. At least they were now blocking it.

She sat up and looked around her, she didn't recognize where she was. She was currently sitting on a couch and there was a coffee table in front of her. There was a fireplace to her right that had a window on either side with long sheer drapes. To her left was the bright light and the person who had been rubbing something on her lips. She touched her lips and smeared what it was a little and pulled away. Lipstick, red lipstick, and the shade she wore for all of her performances.

"I took it from your makeup table at the theater." The person said. Kagome looked over at them. It was a female. She walked over to Kagome and sat on the coffee table looking at her. Kagome looked shocked. The woman staring back at her looked just like her. "Ya I was surprised to when I first saw you." She giggled. "My husband took me to your first performance and I knew then that I had to have you." She placed a hand on Kagome's cheek and giggled, "I have always imagined what your skin would feel like. It is so soft."

Kagome leaned back a little so she was just out of reach, "Who are you?" The woman looked a little hurt. She stood abruptly and that's when Kagome realized what she was wearing. "My dress..?"

The woman giggled, "Yes, I took it. I wanted this meeting to be perfect." She stepped in front of the light again and twirled, "It's everything I could imagine!"

Kagome stood and placed a hand on the arm rest of the couch to steady herself, "Who are you?" She asked again.

The woman looked at her again, "I'm the Rose Thief of course." She giggled again twirling around for dramatics.

"Stop spinning!" Kagome yelled. The woman stopped and looked at her. She reminded Kagome of a child who just got into trouble, "What is your real name?"

The woman put her hands together and played with her thumbs a bit, "Kikyo." She said shyly.

"Alright, Kikyo, where am I?" Kagome asked walking over to the window.

Kikyo gasped and ran to her pulling her away from the window. "No! Not near the window, they will see you." She said peeking out the window.

"Who will?" Kagome asked a little irritated.

"The white ones, they mean to do you harm." Kikyo pushed her back over to the couch. "You are in my house. But shh!" She said putting her finger over her lips, "My husband doesn't know you are here."

Kagome decided, there was something wrong with this woman. She didn't know what but she needed to get away and quickly. "Who is your husband?"

Kikyo giggled like a little school girl in love, "Naraku Onigumo, he's the one that owns the café you always go to. That's how I was able to poison you." She said very happily.

"You poisoned me?!" Kagome was beyond furious now.

"Ya but don't worry I already gave you the antidote." A blush coming to her cheeks, "Through a Kiss."

There was a click at the door from a different part of the house and someone calling out to Kikyo. She leapt up and looked down at Kagome, "Stay here."

She went through a door and she heard some ideal chatter of hellos. She stood and walked over to the window. She gasped, she was staring at Inuyasha. Well, Inuyasha in the window of his house. The Rose Thief had lived that close to her. No wonder she knew everything about her. Kagome began to wave her arms trying to get his attention. "Come on Inuyasha, look at me." She whispered to herself. But of course his demonic hearing didn't hear her. She looked around the room there had to be something she could throw at the window to get his attention. She spotted it, on the coffee table there was a bow of marble with flowers stuck in them. She picked up one big marble and walked back to the window. She pushed it up and kneeled down to where she would be able to throw it with ease. She wound back her arm and thrust it as hard as she could. She watched as it went through the air and collided with the window, cracking it. She smiled as he looked up but then heard the door behind her open.

"Kagome, I want you to meet your new husband." Kikyo giggled, "We are going to be a happy family!" She looked over at where the girl she had kept in the room was on the floor next to an open window. "What are you doing?!" She yelled frantically. She ran over to the window and grabbed her away.

The man behind her closed the window and looked at the white haired man who was currently staring at the scene they had just displayed. He looked back her, "Take her to the dungeon."

Kikyo looked at him in horror, "No please, it was a mistake. She didn't know."

He walked to the door to the room, "Do I need to repeat myself?"

Kikyo looked down, "No.." She grabbed Kagome's hands and pulled her towards the door.

"Wait..no, what's the dungeon. Inuyasha!" Kagome yelled as loud as she could.

The man looked at her and slapped her face hard sending her crashing into Kikyo who steadied her, "You will learn your place, woman."

Kikyo again started to push her, "It's okay; he knows what he's doing so it won't hurt too much."

Kagome's eyes opened wide. "I don't want to be in any pain. I won't do it again, I swear." She begged.

Kikyo smiled, "Good, cause after he does the operation we will be happy together, forever! The three happy, in love people." Kikyo smiled, she obviously had thought about this for a while now. "People will think we are twins who fell in love with the same man and being just a kind man he married both women, having sex every night." She giggles again, "That's the best part."

Kagome looked at her, horrified of the thought of another man touching her. Kikyo pushed her through a door way into a room that had a tiled floor. There was a table in the middle and she told Kagome to lie down. She did as she was told praying to whatever god existed to save her. Kikyo buckled her ankles, wrist and head in place. Now there was definitely no way to get away.

The man walked in and he looked at her. She felt like he was looking at her as if she had no clothing on. His eyes licking at every part of her body, she felt disgusting. He picked up a small needle and hammer. "This will cure you of any thoughts of leaving us." He said walking to her head. She looked up at him as he put it next to her eye.

Inuyasha was pacing the room it had been an hour since they had dropped Kagome off at the park and the stupid tracker still had not picked up on her. He walked over to his window and looked out before looking back at Rin who had brought him a cup of coffee.

"It's going to be a long night." She offered.

He nodded at her. He sighed and took a sip of the coffee. Black and bitter, like his soul right now. He heard something crash into his window and it watched as the little round marble made little cracks going out of it landing spot. He looked up and noticed something in the window across the way. It was Kagome; he dropped his cup and put his hand against the window, another woman who looked much like her grabbed her pulling her away from it. Kagome struggled against the grip and a man appeared. He closed the window and stared at Inuyasha long and hard before saying something. He couldn't quite make it out.

"Take her to the dungeon." He heard Rin say. He looked down at her, "I read lips, its part of my job." She looked up at him, "Go, I'll get Sesshomaru."

He nodded and ran out of his room and past all the people who was walking towards the room to see what the noise was. He heard Rin's soft voice tell them what had happened. Inuyasha reached the door to his house and flung it open.

"Inuyasha!" he heard Kagome's voice yell. He ran over to the door of the house he had always thought was a little creepy to begin with. He tried the knob, locked. He honestly didn't think it would be unlocked. He took a step back and kicked the door really hard. It budged a little. Another kick and it flew open. He looked around; he heard the voice of the man coming from a cracked door down the hallway that was in front of him.

He ran down the way and pushed the door open really hard sending whatever was behind it crashing to the tile floor. Three eyes went straight to him, "Inuyasha!" Kagome was relieved to see him, her face said it all.

Inuyasha ignored her for the moment, "Step away from my woman."

Now when Inuyasha called her 'woman' Kagome liked it, but not when Naraku did it. It sounded dirty.

The man chuckled, "Your woman? I hate to break it to you half demon but she belongs to me now." He put his hand on Kagome's bare thigh; her dress had been hiked up some from her squirming around.

When she felt his hand on her thigh she squirmed once again. Not liking the touch of this man. She felt Kikyo's hands on her shoulders, "You can't take her! She's mine. You gave her to me!"

Inuyasha looked at the woman who he could have sworn was Kagome's twin. "You gave me no choice. You poisoned her."

"But we were going to be happy together." She said, sadly.

Kagome actually felt bad for her. Now she knew why she was so happy. Now that she was so close to her she saw the little scars on her face. This man had done the same thing to her. If she got out alive she would try to get this girl the help she needed. She looked at Inuyasha, pleading him to hurry up with this situation.

Inuyasha got the message. He heard distant sirens coming this direction. No doubt Sesshomaru called the police. He looked at the man. He just had to knock him till the cops got here. The woman wouldn't be a problem. He could tell there was something wrong with her. He took a step forward and pulled his arm back and sent a punch into the man's face. That sent him flying back a little and he looked up at Inuyasha. "How day you touch the face of Naraku Onigumo."

"Wait..Onigumo?" Inuyasha asked. "Aren't you a sponsor of the theater?"

"How do you think Kikyo was able to see everyone of Kagome's performances?" He scoffed wiping the blood from his face. "Your brother openly invited us each time."

That's how they never caught him. He was working from the inside. This infuriated Inuyasha, and made a mental note to get a background report on the other sponsors. "How dare you!" He demanded send another punch into the man's face. This punch was so hard though that it knocked him out. He looked at Kagome, "I swear.." He started to undo the buckles on her. When he got her free she sat up and immediately wrapped her arms around him. He felt the tears that were now dripping onto his shirt. He looked over at Kikyo, she looked scared. "Who is she?"

Kagome looked over at her, "The Rose Thief." She said. "She needs help Inuyasha."

He nodded knowing what she meant. He held out his hand to the woman, "Would you like to come with us? I have some friends who would love to have you around." Kikyo looked at his hand the down at Naraku. Seeing her hesitation he stepped a little closer so he was blocking Naraku from her line of vision. "He can't hurt you again."

She stared at him and slid her small hand into his. That's when he realized she was small because she was malnourished. Now he felt bad for her. This Naraku had destroyed her. He helped Kagome off the table and she stood on the other side of Kikyo. The three walked out as three police cars and an ambulance pulled up.

Kagome saw Sesshomaru swiftly walking over to them. She smiled and wrapped her arms around his chest when they got closer. He wrapped his arms around her small frame and looked at Inuyasha, "Who is that?" He asked looking at Kikyo.

"This is the wife to Naraku Onigumo, one of your sponsors." Inuyasha looked at Kagome then back at Sesshomaru, they had been hugging a little longer than he had liked but continued when Kagome pulled away from him. "She needs help." Sesshomaru nodded. "That's how the Rose Thief," He looked at Kikyo, "Was able to know all she did. They lived right across from us and had an inside view."

Kagome looked up as some police men were dragging Naraku out of the house and putting him into a car. A handsome young man walked over to the group, "Was anyone hurt?" he asked.

Kagome's eyes fell to his name tag, Hojo, "No but," Kagome held out her hand to Kikyo, "She needs help." Kikyo walked over to her and looked at the man shyly.

He held out his hand to her, "Don't worry miss, we will take care of you."

She looked at Kagome who smiled at her and placed her hand in the man's. He started to lead her away when she looked back, "I just wanted you to be happy."

Kagome smiled at her again, "I am happy." She said as Inuyasha walked up to wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Now it's your turn."

Kikyo nodded smiling as well, "Promise to visit."

Kagome nodded, "I will. Get well, Rose Thief."

Kikyo kept smiling and turned back to Hojo, "So where are we going? I go to the theater for all of their performances. You will have to go with me now."

Kagome giggled softly and looked up at Inuyasha, "I'll get you a new dress." He said. For some reason, and he wouldn't tell Kagome this, the dress fitted Kikyo perfectly. The pain she had experienced made the dress look like a cape on her figure.

Kagome nodded, "Get red this time, blue isn't really my color." She smiled.

Sesshomaru stepped forward, "This would make an amazing musical."

Kagome gave him a look, "Is that all you think about?"

He gave her a sly look, "No, I also think about Rin bare." Kagome blushed and looked away from him. He laughed, "Don't act so innocent Kagome," He leaned down to her ear, "We all heard you that one night."

Her face turned beet red, Goosebumps covering her body. Sesshomaru laughed as Inuyasha yelled at him for doing that. She smiled, and walked in front of them. "We should make that into a musical and have Kikyo play alongside me."

Both brothers looked at her as if she had grown a second head. "Why?" Inuyasha asked.

"Cause for the past year she just wanted me to be happy, so now I want to make her happy." She said.

"She poisoned you and told us to hand you over or you die." Inuyasha said blandly.

Kagome looked at Sesshomaru, "What she says goes." He said and walked back to his house.

"What?! You aren't even going to discuss this with me? I'm your partner you know!" Inuyasha yelled after him.

Kagome giggled and threw her arms around his neck planting a kiss on his lips. "I've always outranked you and you know that."

He looked at her and gave up in defeat, "Ya I know." He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned in for a tenderer kiss this time.

Kagome felt her knees buckle. She opened her eyes and saw Inuyasha smirking, "I love that I have this power over you." She blushed. He leaned down to her ear, "Why don't we go make plans in my room?"

Kagome gasped when Inuyasha picked her up bridal style. She placed a hand on his face. "I love you Inuyasha."

Inuyasha was standing in front of his front door and he looked down at her. "I love you to, my Kagome."
