I ask him why he looks so sad, and he shares with me that he is in love with a barbarian girl named Gudrun. He goes on to say that because elves and barbarians share different customs, he is struggling to express his interest. A guy who needs help finding love? I'll do it! I offer to help. Dororan tells me that I can assist by collecting some items that he will need to give to his lady. A man named Jeffrey in the town of Edgeville has a golden ring. He will give it to me in exchange for a love poem. Dororan gives me the poem and I head off./p

Dororan wants the ring engraved (why he didn't tell me this in the first place, I'll never know). Dororan sends me off with a chisel and the ring. I head back to Jeffrey and engrave the ring with, "Gudrun the fair, Gudrun the fiery." Wow, dramatic!/p

I basically have to let her know that "someone" is interested in her, like a secret admirer thing. I think she likes the ring, because she tells me to go find her dad, who apparently is the chief of her tribe./p

I head back to Dororan with the bad news. His solution is to write a poem praising the chief (Gunnar). I deliver the poem, "Gunnar's Ground", to Gudrun, and tell her to go read it to her dad. In the meantime, I have to try to console Dororan, who is now doubting his plan will work. This is one lovesick elf!/p
