"Ronan."
"My dear," Ronan holds his hand out to the woman. "What are you doing here?"
She accepts his hand and allows him to lead her into the room. "I heard your voice and wanted to make sure that you were alright."
"I am fine," He cups her face once they stand in the middle of the room. "It should be I that is asking you that question."
She smiles. "I'm fine, Ronan. I missed you though."
"I missed you too," His thumb rubs against her cheek. He sighs. "But there is something I must ask of you."
"Oh?" She raises her eyebrow. "And what is that?"
"Leave."
She frowns and leans away from his hand. She steps away from him. "Excuse me?"
"You heard me." He retaliates.
"Leave?" She repeats. He nods. "Wh-Why should I leave? And if I was to leave where would I go? You destroyed my home planet, remember? There is nowhere for me. This is my home, Ronan."
Ronan doesn't look her in the eyes. He moves through the room, speaking, "We have managed to find you a safe haven until this situation has been dealt with. You will remain there until I have someone come and find you."
Her frown only grows deeper. She stares a this back. Her breathing becomes rapid.
Was this happening? After all this time was he finally abandoning her on some planet until he decides to destroy it as well? A planet that will most likely have no form of life apart from herself. She knew that Ronan was willing to do whatever it takes to aid Thanos, but she had often heard of his rants against the old man. The disgust in his voice towards him was clear.
It only gave more reason for her to hate the man as well.
"I am not afraid of Thanos." She states.
"It is not Thanos that I am worried about." He replies. He turns to face her. He holds his hand out to her once again. She takes it.
"Is this about Gamora and those so called miscreants that she's been helping to secure the orb?" She smiles. "Ronan, I am not afraid of Gamora. I have fought with her many times and I have proven that I am more than capable of taking care of myself."
"Even if you can I can not afford for your to get caught up in all of this. You are not like Nebula or Gamora. If you are injured then there is a high chance that you could die."
"So could you," Ronan remains quiet. "The possibility of you dying is as high as mine. Please, let me stay. I can be of some use to you."
Ronan's dark eyes hold onto hers for a few moments before turns to two of the guards standing by the door. He speaks in a language that she has heard multiple times but failed to understand. She frowns at him but follows his eyes as the guards exit the room and the door seals shut behind them. He leaves a small kiss on her lips.
"You leave in the morning."
She sighs. "Ronan."
"Please, do this for me."
She rolls her eyes. "Fine, but promise me that you are not going to abandon me on some planet where I am the only living thing on there."
"I would never dream of doing such a thing."
"And if I remember you did just that when we argued a few months ago."
"And if I clearly remember I apologized, thoroughly for that."
