A/N: This is a companion fic to AveryTheElf's fic, "Absolutely nothing". Oh, and I haven't mentioned this yet, but you won the week's challenge, Aves! I'm just sooo tired nowadays, that when the clock reaches 9pm, I pass out. I managed to get a half hour in which I am attempting to write this.

Now, I realize to some of you this ficlet might make no sense whatsoever, but know that Blaise and Luna were a couple, and they fought where Blaise mocked her for her beliefs. He hated himself for it, but he did absolutely nothing to win her back. These are Luna's thoughts. I don't own HP

Nothing at all

Luna sat alone. She hated seeing Blaise the way he was now. His eyes were permanently bloodshot, his chin sometimes dark for days on end, and sometimes his clothes went unchanged.

Her senses retched at his appearance. Her eyes denied her the sight, forcing her to look down, while her nose scrunched whenever he was two metres within her. She heard the shallow breaths he gave when he set eyes on her.

He missed her, she could tell.

The sad thing was that she missed him too. Her heart pleaded with her to go to him, to apologize for running from him, but in the same sentence her heart told her to stand her ground – she just stood up for what she believed in, and no matter what, it remained her priority.

After all, those were some of the last words her mother spoke to her.

"My darling, if what you believe makes you a fool, then gladly accept the jester's hat."

At that time she didn't understand. She didn't know what a jester was at that time. Years later when she asked her father, he explained to her that in medieval times kings and queens used to have entertainers, known as jesters; that were always made to be fools. They were embarrassed and sometimes even executed for the entertainment.

There and then Luna made her choice. She'd die for her beliefs.

So she retained her distance from Blaise, having forgiven him for what he'd said. Yes, she was seen as 'the-girl-who-believed-in-everything', but at least she had something to cling to. Whilst Blaise had nothing. It explained why he was now drinking to get by.

She'd forgiven him, but forgetting him was a lot harder.

That was why she did nothing at all. He needed to come to her and apologize, then, and only then, would she forget.
