A/N: I'm not very good at the crack!-ships, and this is my first one ever. I was bored, so I decided to roll the die and see which pairing I could write for. I ended up with Dan and Sinead. So the result was a very bad crack!-ship that I posted to hear other peoples opinions. But seriously, if you really want a good one, go look at Joelle8's stories.

It was just obsession. Merely curiosity. But even if it were more, Dan knew it would never work out between them from the start. She was already seventeen, while he still struggled to get through eighth grade.

And besides, she never really liked him. The girl spent all day fantasizing over a particular Tomas. It wasn't like a Romeo and Juliet scene. Madrigals were all about making peace with the other branches, and Dan doubted they had anything against Ekats. The problem was with everybody else. Just because Amy was finally dating Ian, all the girls suddenly expected him to be head-over-heels for Natalie. As if.

So he watched from a distance, like someone would a mildly interesting science experiment. And Dan never told anyone, not even Amy. They would never understand, and he wouldn't really blame them. Who ever in their right mind would choose her out of every hot girl in the school?

But he loved the way her eyebrows scrunched up when she was concentrating, and how she was so sweet when she took care her brothers, in a caring sisterly manner, the way Amy took care of him.

Even though it wasn't love. Or attraction. Just a simple matter of infatuation. Fondness. It was just obsession. Fascination, like a specimen in a lab.

He was the scientist and she was the lab mouse.

But he had gotten too fond of her.

A/N: For some reason, I think this theme doesn't really work with the pairing. The way it sounds is like Dan is using her to get information from her branch or something. I feel it would be better if it was Amian. Tell me what you think in a review. Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed it (and avoided puking)!
