Trainers of the Month: The Sinnoh Story!

By FangWishWeavile

A/N: Hello, peoples! I'm Fang. That's my name. GOT IT!? Good. Anyway, time for the story!

"April."

That was the first word I heard on the best day ever. Why, you ask? I'm getting my Trainer Card, that's why!

"April, wake up."

"APRIL!"

I bolted upright. The person who commanded me to wake up was my best friend, June.

"We're late and you're not even dressed!" June said impatiently.

My forest green eyes widened. I scampered out of bed. I pulled something on and ran for the door.

"Um, April?" June said nervously.

"What's wrong?"

"You might want to see what you are wearing."

This was a problem. I looked at my clothes. I was wearing a plaid shirt and striped pants. I screamed in horror.

"Don't worry, I'll cover you," June said reassuringly.

"You're a lifesaver, June."

We had finally arrived at Sandgem Town, the community in which the Pokemon Lab stands. When we were just about to open the door to the Pokemon Lab, someone ran into us.

"Sorry about that," they said. The person was a boy with autumn leaf-orange hair. "My name is October. What's yours?"

"I'm June and this is April," June said, turning and revealing me.

"No! Don't look at me! I'm too hideous!"

"That's OK. I really don't care about looks. Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go get our cards!" October said.

We entered the lab. "Hello, children," an old man with a deep yet scratchy voice said.

"You must be Professor Rowan," October said.

"Correct, child. Unfortunately, I do not have all the starter Pokemon for the Sinnoh region-I only have Chimchar."

"But I want a Piplup so badly!" June whined.

"I also have Totodile and a Treecko," the professor said.

"Who will pick first?" I asked.

"We can play rock, paper, scissors," June said.

"Okay."

"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"

The result was paper, paper and scissors.

"I guess I get first pick. Let's see who's here," October said while hurling the Poke Balls in the air.

The three Pokemon appeared. There was Treecko, the Wood Gecko Pokemon, Chimchar, the Chimp Pokemon, and Totodile, the Big Jaw Pokemon.

"I like this one," October said, pointing to Treecko. "Treecko, I choose you!"

"It's our turn now," I said to June.

"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"

Paper versus rock. June won.

"Hmm... which one?" June said while rubbing her chin. "I choose... Totodile! That leaves you with Chimchar, April."

That was just what I wanted. "Professor Rowan, who took the other Pokemon?" I asked.

"There were two girls whose names I did not know, and Sep-" He was cut off. Someone barged into the lab. It was a girl that was probably four years older than us.

"Did someone mention me?" she said.

"September!" October cried.
