July 1st
It was his birthday. The first of his that she spent without him. Not the last she thought to herself. She packed up her stuff in a backpack and headed out of the tent. Her companion came out the woods to her right.
"Morning" He called to her. She wouldn't look up. No snarky comment from the Spark Queen? Odd. He thought to himself.
"Thals, what's wrong?" No reply. I swear he said to himself there is nothing more stubborn than this girl. He turned her so she was facing him. His arms on her shoulders. "Thals, please tell me what's going on. You usually only switch to the silent treatment after we've actually had a fight. Also known as me doing something stupid." No smile. NO SMILE! He just basically called himself an idiot and she did nothing!
"Thalia what's wrong? I care about you know that don't you?" More than you will ever know Luke thought to himself. I hate to do this but it should at least get her to react (try to kill me…).
"Thalia, Thalia GRACE." Luke said putting extra emphasis on her last name, the name he was banned from using/telling another soul (if they ever met one).
That shook the girl from her stupor. Just not the way Luke was hoping.
"JASON! Jason! Oh, Jason." The girl started crying. Luke added this to his list of impossible things he had witnessed, most of it from this morning. Thalia Grace, kick butt, daughter Zeus, was crying. He wrapped his arms around her ten year-old body.
"Hey, what's wrong?" the boy said gently while she wept into his shoulder. She finally looked up. The tears were gone but you could see the tracks shining on her cheeks. Luke wiped them away.
"I don't want to talk about it." Usually Luke could respect this, but the strongest girl he had ever met had so easily been reduced to tears. And he wanted to make sure nothing could ever hurt the girl he…loved. Thalia never did tell him who Jason was. Luke tried to ask but she had snapped at him. Luke always wondered who Jason was and how he had affected Thalia this much.

My second fanfiction. Very cheesy. Yes I know I got the ages wrong but it was kind of weird to have the relationship I wanted with a eight and ten year -_- Spark Queen is a really stupid name, I know.
