Shades of grey

You see a line that's clearly defined between us

But I know that line is blurred at the edges

You see the world in black and white

But I know the world is full of shades of grey

Soon you will see the shades of grey

And the line that you drew will be blurred

The innocence of a child is lost at night

When the deaths of his friends, are seen in his sight

He loses control there is blood on his hands

And the enemy can kill no more

You see a line that's clearly defined between us

But I know that line is blurred at the edges

You see the world in black and white

But I know the world is full of shades of grey

Soon you will see the shades of grey

And the line that you drew will be blurred

The soldier stands high he knows he is right

Until the enemy is still a child

Battles are fought till the politics are nought

Is pride really worth the death of the young

And the innocence of those that fought

You see a line that's clearly defined

But I know the truth there are shades of grey

And a clearly defined line is actually blurred
