Ah, he hated him.

Shizuo brought his cigarette to his lips and focused on the figure a couple of feet away from him, staring down the man with the lazy smirk.

"Ah, Shizu-chan, it's so nice to see you again."

Four over-turned desks, a hole in the wall beside Izaya's head, and broken glass littered the abandoned classroom. Shizuo leaned against the only untouched wall.

"Guess my good luck streak has run out, since you're here."

A cackle. Izaya inched closer to the area that Shizuo resided. He stepped over desks and on broken glass, smirking.

"That's not very nice, Shizu-chan," Izaya pretend pouted. "After I tried so hard to find us alone time."

Shizuo's eyebrow twitched and he blew out smoke.

The classroom seemed to grow smaller with each step Izaya took until he was inches away from Shizuo's face, inhaling the smoke Shizuo exhaled.

He placed his palm beside Shizuo's head, earning a growl.

"Remove it, or lose it."

Izaya laughed in his face.

"Why?" He leaned his face in closer, the ends of Shizuo's hair breezing Izaya's eyelashes. "I like being this close to you."

"I find the proximity repelling."

"Doesn't pretending to hate me get old, Shizu-chan? Because I could never really hate you."

Something fluttered in his body and Shizuo was sure it wasn't his heart. It couldn't be his heart.

But he found himself speechless.

Izaya leaned in even closer, the breath expelled from his nose fanning Shizuo's face. He chuckled at Shizuo's expression.

"Your cigarette's in the way."

Shizuo narrowed his eyes at him.

"Of what?"

"Of this."

At the same time his cigarette vanished from his mouth, a pair of lips replaced it, not letting any spring air seep into the space. Shizuo stood motionless and Izaya smirked into the kiss.

"Hah," Izaya pulled away, placing the cigarette back into Shizuo's mouth, "Guess someone doesn't hate me after all."

He wiped his bottom lip with his thumb and cackled. Shizuo grumbled and turned his head, hiding the blush forming.

Ah, he really, really hated Izaya.

(But maybe not really.)
