Chapter 1: A Mysterious Guy

Ralph's P.O.V.:

There I was standing on the roof of the penthouse, ready to be thrown off the top, yelling, "Ahhh!" and cart-wheeling down. Splat! I landed in the mud. The kid playing our game cheered and his friend high-fived him. As they walked away, I realized they were Litwak's last customers of the day. I sighed in relief. "Finally, the end of the day. I can finally relax." I said. "Yes you can." I heard from behind me. I turned around and saw Gene. "Oh, hey Gene." I responded. He said, "Hey, Ralph, you did good today. Listen, the three of us, Mary, Felix and I, are heading to Tapper's. You wanna come?"

"Thanks! Sure, I'll come."

When we got to Tapper' s, I saw this strange-looking man. He wearing a helmet with a stripe down the middle of it and had a straight face. Now that I think of it, he seemed awfully familiar, but not in a good way...

The guy was leaning against a wall and looking at the ground. But facing our direction...as if he was watching us...

I guess Felix noticed I was looking at somebody. "What are you staring at, Ralph?" he asked. I whispered back to him, "Hey, Felix, you see that creepy guy over there?" "Yeah..." he replied. "He looks like he's waiting for someone...suspiciously..." I said, "It seems like he's watching us." "Yea, that is getting creepy, isn't it?...Okay, maybe just one drink before we leave." As we were walking out of Tapper's, I noticed the guy was now sitting at the bar. Tapper said something to him as he wiped down the counter, and then they laughed. I faced the door and decided just to forget about it. Then, what really made me jump was when I overheard Tapper say, "Don't worry, pal. Drink's on the house, ..." I couldn't believe this. Being a mysterious guy buys you a drink, but nearly dying in a big explosion of mentos just to save a little girl's life and ending up taking down a whole swarm of Cybugs doesn't?

I could faintly hear Tapper say what the guy's name was. Although, it sort of sounded like his name had '-urbo' at the end of it.

I stopped and swung my head around and gasped. "Ralph, you coming?" asked Felix. I took a step closer to him, still staring at the guy. "Felix," I whispered, "realize anything about that guy?" "What do you mean?" he said, "We already determined that he was mysterious, apparently recognized us by the way he was staring..." "Don't forget creepy," I said, "But think about it. Helmet? Name ends in 'urbo'? Creepy...?"

It only took Felix half a second to realize who it was. The guy we were questioned about, was...Turbo.

What did you guys think of Chapter 1? I know it was very short. Please don't leave rude comments, especially because this is my first story. Chapter 2 coming real soon! (Maybe quicker if I can think of the next plot right away!) Suggestions are welcome always!
P.S., once I get going more on this, getting the hang of creating the plot for chapters, I will start to set up a day of the week which I will add a new chapter. Oh and also, I will start to work on a new story very soon.
