John remembered the look in Helen's eyes when she saw him, or Jack, rather, and he wished he didn't. She looked terrified, pained, worried, and loving. He still couldn't understand why she had loved him. And he didn't blame her for pointing that gun at him. He couldn't. She was trying to save that poor woman, which was just like her; trying to save the innocent. Yes, he still remembered the look in her eyes, as he drew the knife across his victim's throat. And the look in her eyes almost made him stop. Almost.

A/N: I feel SO angsty! I think I lost my funny!

Thanks Amanda for helping me with my summaries, as usual. You rock! :)

Dedicated to…YOU! Yes, you! (I dunno. It's late, and I probably sound like a total idiot!)

Review, please. It would make my day….or almost morning, rather.
