Touch
A/N: Just a thought, read, enjoy and reivew!
Regulus Black hated bodies… He hated touching to be exact. He hated the feeling of skin being pressed upon his, he hated the feeling of contact with another body, and he hated anything that expected him to touch someone…. He despised it.
He never knew why… maybe it was because he was so used to not being held or touched that it was something new to his body. Maybe it was because the only touch he ever got as a child were the slaps across his face that scarred him eternally… maybe it was because he saw so much pain through what a person touching another could do…
He hated it when Cissy tried to hug him- he was happy just looking at her- but no, she was more physical. She loved to show her affection through hugs and kisses, hair strokes and hand caresses… and he being her favorite cousin had all of those experimented on him… they made him tingle uneasily, they made him shift uncomfortably, they made him feel so annoyed and irritated- they didn't make him feel safe, they didn't make him feel happy or love for that matter… he just felt different.
'Yeesh Reggie! When someone hugs you it means they love you for heavan sakes! No need to be so flinchy about it! Now come on and let me hug you!'
Cissy never understood- yet she was the only one understood him the most- but when it came to touching, she just never got it. He liked words more than touching. If he wanted to feel safe, then someone would have to tell him of safety, here, he would feel comfort. If someone told him they loved him, he didn't need hugs or kisses, he just needed the sound of care.
He hated it, when he felt something touching his bare skin so much, that he started wearing long sleeves to hide his hands. He hated the brush of a leg that he always wore long pants… he just hated it! It annoyed him so much that he would just snap!
No one understood him though- he couldn't just go up to their faces and say 'I hate people touching me, so stop touching me.' He wished he could say that, maybe then people would take a hint… He just liked the feeling of himself. Feeling that he was him and that he was whole- that he wasn't hollow and that he was free and… and at peace that he could feel a breeze within himself… but when others put their hands on him, the sensation left, and he felt that he was taken over by them completely.
The Dark Mark… he hated that scratching on his forearm-ruled over by someone else… that was an example of why he hated touching. It made him feel take over- possessed… when it burned, it was as though something was inside him, that was ruling over him- a fire in the pit of his stomach…
In the lake, as he saw Kreature sail away, his expression horrified with pain and agony, and then… a hand grabbed him. It was possession all over again. Not only did one hand take him, but millions did- touching his hands, his legs, his head, his face, his stomach- everywhere! He was so shocked- he could pry away, he couldn't scream, he couldn't do anything- they were touching him everywhere that… it possessed him- it took him over- he couldn't handle it! He wanted to snap! To scream- to shout- he wanted to die! It was so cramping- so different, his whole body ached!
He wanted to think of Sirius- of how his brother would be proud but he just couldn't think- he couldn't move- he didn't even feel the burning in his lungs- he couldn't even feel the light leaving his eyes- he couldn't even feel his soul slowly tugging away… all he felt was the touching that revived everything- that fried him to what seemed insanity… he hated it! He hated it! He…
He hated touching- he hated the feeling of a skin over his own… he shunned himself from contact- he avoided it at all costs… yet at the end… it destroyed him.
I'm not too sure on the ending- too sudden? Anyways, review?
