Prologue
The end of the Eve Wars did not necessarily mean the end of the true war itself. The government established after dangled precariously over a pit of hungry lions, and tension clung heavily to the air for quite a while before the public was ready to admit that the war was finally over. However, others knew that the war was not over even though peace had been declared, the mobile suits destroyed, and the banner of good will cast into the wind. These were the soldiers, the ones who actually fought in the war. They knew better than to live on the false hope that encompassed the public. These individuals knew that the peace would only last so long.only as long as they allowed it to. The Preventers were born out of this fear and understanding. Headed by the former Colonel Une, the Preventers was set up in order to stop the chaos of war from ever emerging again. Other soldiers whom had known the true brutality of war were left with three decisions: keep the world safe as Preventers, return to living normally, or hide from the world around them, ashamed of what they did during the war. Among these soldiers, the infamous Gundam pilots were forced to make this decision. Quatre and Trowa became emergency officers for the Preventers while continuing their normal civilian lives. Wufei joined the Preventers after the Eve Wars, becoming the partner of one Sally Poe. After disappearing for over a month, Heero returned and joined the Preventers in hopes of finding himself. The lone wolf Duo.well.no one quite knows what he does any more.
