"Rich, you son of a b-" Eddie started, desperately trying to win the last round of the game. But trying wasn't enough. Richie wasn't lying about that Street Figther thing.

"Hah! I did it! I won, Spagheddie." Richie laughed, and then pinched the boy's cheek. "Don't worry, kiddo."

"Don't call me 'kiddo'. We're both 14." Eddie murmured, grinning as he stared at the outside of the arcade.

"What's the matter, Eds?" Richie smiled, putting his arm around Ed.

"You think mom knows about me?" Eddie looked back at Richie, and saw the boy's smile disappear.

"Know what? That you're a terrible at playing games?" The boy joked, trying to cheer up his boyfriend. "What is it?"

"You know her. She probably knows I'm gay." Eddie sighed. He knew how much of an asshole his mother was. Especially about Eddie's orientation.

"Look, Eds." Rich faced the smaller boy, and then held his face. "You shouldn't care so much about it, alright? She has no power over your heart. You can like whoever you want. You deserve to love and to be loved, regardless of whether you're straight or not."

"She won't understand. She'll take me to doctor and ask if I'm sick!" Eddie sniffed. He was about to start crying.

"And he'll say 'no'. She's the only one who's sick."

"I know, but... I'm telling you. She'll never accept me after she finds out." Eddie took Richie's hands off his face, holding one of them.

"She doesn't need to find out now. You- We can keep this, 'til the day you're comfortable enough to tell her." Richie smiled, comforting Ed.

"You promisse?" Eddie had hope in his eyes. He looked so beautiful, not cute. He seemed happy, and his smile slowly appeared.

"Yeah. I do." Richie smiled too. "Now, where's my kiss?"

"Nope, you won the last 3 rounds! You don't need to win anything else." Eddie laughed, while Richie tried to tickle him.

"Not even your heart?" Richie said, with a little smirk on his face.

"Beep beep Richie!" Eddie looked away, trying to stop smiling. Then, he looked back, facing Richie. He bowed down and kissed the boy on his lips. "Looks like I won."
