Summary: 'I'll miss you, but I know you won't miss me.'
A short one-shot about Beast Boy and his leaving the Doom patrol. I don't think he would have left without leaving a note, and this is what I think he would have written to Mento. Warning: Is sad. Don't read if you cry easily. For those waiting on my other stories, they are coming, just very slowly. Not a songfic, just might have wrote it that way.

Hey Mento,
I'm just writing to tell you,
Yes, I am gone.
I thought you cared about me,
Thought you loved me,
But I guess I was wrong.
You don't want me in your life,
So I'll get out of your way.
Did you know, you used to be my hero?
I wanted to be just like you.
But, I guess, it was all a lie.
I don't know why whatever I did wasn't good enough,
And I probably won't,
But, at least, I won't have to hear you call me a failure anymore.
I don't know where I'm going,
I'll find out when I get there,
But I'll prove I can be a hero in my own way.
I don't hate you,
But all I wanted was to hear you say you were proud of me.
Was I really that bad?
I'll miss you, and the others too.
I would say I hope you miss me too,
But I know you won't.
