(One stormy night...)
Marinette gazes out the shop window waiting patiently for the storm to clear out. It was much too heavy for her to make a run for it and she didn't have much cash for a taxi since she went out to buy a sash for a new creation from the tailors shop. It was serene and peaceful as she placed her hand on the window with drops of water racing down, which made making the scenery seem unclear. She thought to herself what's to come in the near future with her superhero career and her love life since nothing had a clear route.
In the corner of her eye she caught a small black figure with cat ears jumping across rooftops. Instantaneously she knew who it was and made a dash to the corner street of the block to transform. She was able to catch up to him and saw him crouched over the top of a dustbin staring down.
"Chat?" She asked hesitantly, "...you okay?"
Chat noir lifts his head in surprise with an indescribable expression. He slowly stood up and walked towards ladybug holding something in his hand. It was a bird...
"good evening my lady..." His voice cracks a little as he tries to regain his composure. The bird was dead. It had a knife-like mark across the side of its body. The bird corpse was presented to ladybug and the harsh droplets of rain watered down the fresh blood still remaining.
"my lady, I hate to show you something so unsightly because know how much of a gentlemen I am I...but I found him on the floor..and he was... chirping. So I thought he'd have a chance at living if I moved fast enough.." Chat noir began to stutter and his words became quieter and softer as he spoke.
Ladybug stood and stared for a while before she wrapped her hands around chat since he looked as though he was about to break.
Suddenly all the feeling left chat's legs and he collapsed into ladybugs arms. She held him in the pouring storm, with a warm expression and said in a soft voice, "don't worry kitty... tell me what happened at your own pace". She seemed almost like a mother at this point so Adrian subconsciously sobbed on her left shoulder and said to her:
"I was running into my car from extra fencing practice when I saw the storm pouring over rapidly. I was staring out the back seat out into the outside thinking about you of course my lady" he joked slightly. "then out in the distance I could see two birds flying together facing the harsh storm together. To be honest it really touched my heart heh heh. It made me think that love really could conquer all. Kinda made me think of how id love to face the world with you ya know?" Chat stopped crying and began his regular teasing and flirts. "but when the weather was too heavy and showed no sign of stopping, one of them fell... and scraped its body on the way down. The other was pulled back and pushed in another direction from the other bird. They were both split and separated from one another by force. I dashed out the car and transformed to look for the one which fell since the other one had been blown off. Once I did I...well..as you can see...i didn't make it in time... neither of them did. His voice started to croak a bit, " my lady, what if that was to happen to me? What if the person I love was to be taken away from me by force. You know I love you. I don't ever wanna lose you. But we have never once come close to finding who and where hawk moth is, he had god-know how many akumas at the ready to reek some havoc without showing signs of stopping. My lady I want you to be mine but I don't want to hurt you... you are so important to me and the whole of paris, even if I was the one to disappear I would still lose you and...i get scared thinking about it...i don't want to think of a future without you, a place where there is no ladybug, a place where there is no hope and a place where there is no love..."
