Echoing in my ears

So loud I can't hear

What you say

Words you say

Soft and gentle into my ear

All lies

That you remembered

Memories

Precious, yet devastating

An innocence that is lost

Like so many petals scattering in the wind

The cherry blossom path

A walk so long ago

A memory best forgotten

Let the rain cleanse it away

Wash away the sins

This hurt

But still, I'll hold onto you

One last time

The soft coarseness of your skin

Episode 25 of Death Note killed me. I read the entire manga and decided to watch the anime and just as I was gearing up for L's death, BAMMM!! The yaoi hit me and I was left saying "WTF?" So of course I just had to write a poem on it.
