AN: 2x1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to go with the flow of Heero being closed hearted but he really loves people. The part in normal writing is Duo writing a letter to Heero explaining what is happening. The part in italics is Heero's reaction while he reads the letter over again months after Duo left. * * means the song lyrics.
The Power of Goodbye
*Your heart is not open so I must go*
Heero, you don't show any affection for me. I love you so much Heero but until you can figure out your love for me I'm going.
*The spell has been broken, I loved you so*
I used to be able to deal with you being so closed off to me but now I can't. Making love isn't the same when the person you love doesn't show any emotions towards you.
*Freedom comes when you learn to let go*
I'll let you go for now my Heero, but I'll be back and our love will be even stronger.

Oh Duo, now I know how cold my heart was towards you, will you ever come back? I know now that this feeling I felt in the pit of my stomach was love, love for you Duo.

There was this picture of a man on the news today who had been killed in a drive by shooting down the street from my house. It was you Duo. The man said, "What a sad story, a young man on his way home is killed in a drive by and no one knows his name." I knew your name Duo. But you promised to come back to me Duo, our love would be some much stronger now. But no, you were probably on your way back to me and you had to go off and die. I'll be with you soon my Du-koi.

AN: I don't know…this might have been confusing…….Heero's reading the letter that Duo wrote when he left for the 100th time (not exact number) after he found out Duo had been killed on his way back to him. He decides to kill himself to be with Duo. And the end part where it says………
