Megan brushed the strand of hair back from Leanne's face. "How are you feeling?" she asked softly, pressing a hand to Leanne's shoulder when the girl tried to sit up.
"Where- What day is it?" Leanne's voice was rusty with disuse.
"Thursday," Megan murmured, twisting to lie down next to Leanne. "You told McGonagall and Dumbledore what happened and then you fainted. You've been sleeping ever since. We've been worried."
Leanne again attempted to sit up, but Megan held her down with an arm and a leg. "Katie? Is she-"
"Transferred to St. Mungo's." The silence of the Hufflepuff girls' dormitory was oddly soothing. Seconds, or perhaps minutes, passed before Leanne stirred again.
"Stay with me?" she whispered.
"Of course," Megan declared, her lips brushing the fragile girl's forehead tenderly.
A/N: My hint-of-femslash drabble component for Mew&Mor's Weird Pairings competition on HPFC. I was assigned Leanne (Katie Bell's friend and a Hufflepuff in Harry's year) and Megan Jones (also a Hufflepuff in Harry's year). I really had no idea what to do with the two of them so I focused on a scene shortly after Leanne witnessed Katie being hexed by the necklace. Possibly one of my most boring pieces ever! I'm not JKR.
