Little Spock rolled over in bed to find another body next to him. He opened his eyes and realized it was his friend Saavik. Another half-Vulcan, like himself. He was confused. In all the time he knew her she had always stayed in her room. Why was she in his room now?

It was not the custom for a touch telepath society to have children who are not close relatives sharing he same bed. Although they were mere children It was still frowned upon. Was there an emergency last night That Saavik had to come share his bed?

Spock pulled off his side of the bed sheets and immediately noticed the aches and pains in his entire body. What had happened to him the night before? What had happened the night before? Why didn't he remember ANY of it?

As he got up and out of bed he put on his bath robe. It was conveniently laying on his bed. Unusual, he always hangs his bathrobe on a hangar, or neatly folds it and places it on a chair in his bedroom. This morning he discovered it laying haphazardly on his bed. As soon as he picked it up and put it on he discovered a second robe, most likely Saavik's. Hers however, was on the floor. It looked as if it had been dropped there, instead of knocked off the bed or fallen off of a hook. Hmmm, unusual.

Spock limped to the door and palmed it open. He noted, as he left the room, that it had been locked with a high level password lock. Obviously his family did not want intruders last night. What had happened? Why was Saavik in his bed? Why was he bruised? Why is his mind in a fog? Could the bruises have anything to do with the condition of his mind? He decided, then and there, to find his parents and enquire as to what happened last night.
