There is the sound of a soft pitter patter of melting snow on the rooftop. Winter is on the retreat as the green grass begins to expose itself as it bursts through the dissipating white blanket on the ground. Blooming blossoms burst in slow motion through to sprinkle the world with colors that have been forgotten during the long bitter winter.

As Aang sprints home with a bag in hand he does not see a merchant's cart directly in front of him. Aang looks oddly at the green paper that tilts back and forth as it falls to the ground.

"Oh my cabbage origami!" screams the merchant.

"Sorry." Aang embarrassingly apologizes.

"You may be the Avatar but you could never bend cabbages!"

Aang gives the merchant some money as he races off once again leaving the merchant shaking his head but at least he did get paid so there is no sense in advertising the matter.

There is a trail of white powder cascading into the air behind Aang as he races through several towns. Finally he stops and looks at the landscape. The lake is not a small lake but you can see all around the lake from two of the four curvy sides. Spring seems to have hit this small area faster than others and a prominent reason for choosing this lake. There are a few trees that overhang the lake but the best part is being able to see the skies.

Aang strings up some paper lanterns to give some light and using his fire bending to light the candles. The sun will be setting in an hour or so. Waiting, Aang sits down, anticipating Katara's arrival.

A gentle breeze dances across Aang's neck and he looks behind him and sees Katara right there behind him. Aang feels that warmth inside that he feels whenever Katara is close. Katara experiences that same warm feeling. Something indescribable that makes you feel as light as the wind. That's saying something coming from an airbender and someone who has flown in the skies.

The sun is setting and Aang brought Stewed Sea Prunes and Rice along with a Fruit Pies that Gyatso taught Aang how to make as well as hit people on the head with. There will be no hitting on the head today.

After they finish eating they notice the stars that have adorned the skies. It is as if you can see beyond the world itself as the light from the paper lanterns illuminate both Katara and Aang as their hands meet while they lean on each other forgetting about the world if just for a little moment. Their eye's close as they drift off to sleep.
