Done on the app, so sorry for any problems.
Sequel to Just wanna cry, but can be read as standalone. This will be the one-shot in Natsu's view.
"The ship of NaLi has sailed!" Mirajane popped a party popper in Natsu and Lisanna's face.
Lisanna said yes.
Natsu was shocked.
The guild erupted in cheers and congratulations.
Nearly everyone was happy.
...nearly?
Their one-month anniversary passed. That's the day she died.
Natsu had stopped his surprise visits to Lucy's apartment long ago. He didn't want any more wrong ideas that he and the blonde were a couple ever since he acknowledged his crush on the white-haired animal soul mage to himself.
He stopped noticing the tiny, subtle hints that she gave away when she was upset or if her mood went up an inch. Instead, he focused more on Lisanna. He started noticing how her ocean blue eyes glimmered in the light. He noticed how she tucked her hair behind her ear when she was nervous or flustered.
In the end, he had forgotten all about his best friend, Lucy.
He didn't notice how she always started wearing long-sleeved shirts, even in summer and even if it wasn't even good fashion. He didn't see her face paling with each passing day she was ignored.
Nothing was intentional.
No one had prepared themselves for this.
He was sitting next to Lucy's old spot in the bar.
He remembers the day her body was buried.
Black.
Grey.
The clouds loomed in the sky, pouring rain over the mourning members. Black robes and dresses. Tears mingling with the rain. Flowers and drops on their leaves. Petals falling.
Pink hair.
He remembers her face; ghostly white, her eyes closed. Her beautiful, gold hair sprawled framing her face.
A white cloth was pulled over her, and he never saw her again.

Keep on digging.
I want to see her again.
A month since Lucy died.
The relationship had fallen apart.
The pink-haired man had no sanity.
Dig.
Deeper.
"Natsu!"
Was that his name?
A ravenette and red-head pulled him away from the grave.
Why?
Please stop.

"Hey Lucy, I got you a gift!"
If this made him happy, then so be it.
A pretty, colorful stone was placed on the table.
"Do you like it?"
Deep down, he knew it was a mirage.
The angel; blonde hair, brown eyes smiled at him warmly. Silently, she placed her hand on his.
"Natsu."
Gray grabbed his shoulder gently, and the pinkette turned to face him.
Ravenette gave Natsu a look, one he understood.
He looked back.
She's gone.
