Chara was acting strange. Toriel was picking up on tiny flinches, and pupils dilated just a bit more than normal. Asrial was seeing more. He saw the near constant panic on her face, and the way she was starting to give reflective surfaces a wide birth.
They both noticed the day that she wouldn't show her eyes. "Azzy. I- something is wrong. Time has gone wrong."
Asrial had barely heard the whisper. He propped himself up on his elbows and looked at her. "What do you mean Chara? How has time 'gone wrong?'"
Chara sat up in bed, still not showing her eyes. From his place across the room, Asrial could she a slight flinch when she tried to open them more.
"I've gone wrong. There are thoughts, and my eyes-" She caught herself, and stopped talking,
"Chara." The sudden seriousness in the monster's voice made her shrink back, ducking her head slightly. She still looked terrified of everything. "Chara, you need to tell Mom and I if something is wrong. We both know that there is something wrong with your eyes. It looks like it hurts to open them. Don't even try to hide it. What is wrong with your eyes Chara?"
Slowly, the green-clad girl opened her eyes. It was clearly painful, but the worrying thing wasn't the pain. It was the fact they the irises had turned a shocking blood red color. Asrial gasped, and ran to his normally blue-eyed sister. "How did this happen?" The child cried. "What happened to you?"
