-The Boy Made of Galaxies-

"Now I lie awake and scream in a zero gravity, and it's starting to weight down on me. let's abort this misson now. Can I please come down?" -Simple Plan, Astronaut.
.
"Why don't you look up at the stars with me."
"I already am."
Danny turned his head. Sitting beside him was one his his best friends, an unique girl he was instantly compelled to meet. She was different for a lot of reasons.
"What do you mean?" He questioned the goth. Sam kept her gaze on him, amethyst eyes locked and focused.
"Don't you understand Danny? Do you see how pointless it is to look for something that you already have?"
Danny cocked his head and rubbed his knees. He momentarily wondered if this was another one of her riddles. He shook his head. "I don't understand."
Sam huffed a strand of dark hair from her eye and tilted her head at the stars. "You spend hours looking at these stupid stars and comets even though they're so small and far away. You know you can never touch them or have them. It's pointless to want something you already have in your hands."
Danny let that sink in before speaking. "No one truly owns the sky. The sky hold so much history and answers that we'll never know. It's the biggest thing and yet it's the smallest thing we could ever imagine, space is just a void of questions and we're all searching for an answer. Nobody could own so many secrets."
Sam hummed and looked back at him. "You hold so many secrets, Danny. And that's why I'm not looking at the stars, you're a star all on your own." They both turned back to the night sky.
"I don't feel very much like a star." He breathed.
Sam folded her arms. "You just need to stop looking around for something more when you're all you need. Because you're not just a star, Danny, you're a galaxy. And something so bright can't shine that bright without some darkness." She smiled and stood, offering a hand, which Danny gladly accepted.
"And we'll gladly be your stars."
And now it was time that the boy made of galaxies learned how to shine and make other's glow. After all, it's a matter of time before you burn up, and you might as well have plenty of light.
