And that's what you get for falling again -
You can never get him out of your head...
Sugarcult - Pretty Girl
She woke up with scream, covered in sweat. I wasn't the first time, and it certainly won't be the last. There was something about this house that made her feel like she was losing it. Hushed whispers, strange noises and muffled cries were a constant reminder of the fact that there were people captured in the darkness of this place, with only memories of who they used to be. Violet was never a little ray of sunshine, with her sarcastic attitude and deep chestnut eyes that reflected something dark and cruel that was attached to her soul, but now she felt herself stepping away from reality, more and more everyday. And that scared the shit out of her. She saw ghosts everywhere she turned, pleading her to listen to them, to play with them or just to tell them that it will all be alright. But she couldn't do that. Once fearless girl would now bow her head down, close her eyes and pray to God (or whoever was up there) that they would just go away. 'Cause looking at them would mean that it wasn't all just a horrible nightmare, that they really exist. And if they exist, that would mean that he existed too. And that was too much.
She tried so hard not to think about him. Because now it was just HIM, without a name, a blond boy with angel face and a soul of a devil. Saying his name would just leave a bitter aftertaste in her mouth and unshed tears in her eyes. So now, she tried her best to forget it all – touches, kisses, unspoken promises of love and forgiveness, because life doesn't work that way, does it? Love doesn't make everything right, nice and peachy – it just wraps all the horror in the neat and beautiful package, so you can't see what's really inside. Once you see…you are forever lost.
Since they moved here, she has changed. Even her ignorant parents saw it. But now, at least, she went to school everyday. She would go anywhere just not to be in that house, just not to be afraid of seeing him again, with tearful eyes and broken voice that begged her to stay with him. But still, leaving the house didn't mean leaving all thoughts of him. With every footstep she imagined him, walking that same way and looking and the eyes of kids who didn't know at the time that they were facing their murderer. Creepy melody was stuck in her head, completing the scene – a whistling noise that described all the terror that has once happened at this place. She just wanted to run, but where to? Back to the house to the arms of her eternal darkness, where her conflicted emotions could reveal themselves. To love someone so dark, trapped in a perpetual circle of hate, and still so fragile? Or to banish yourself from the only thing that made you content, safe and happy? Isn't life so ironic to make you find your only light in someone's complete darkness?
So, she walked back to the house, slowly, embracing her fate – her doom and her salvation. With her eyes closed, standing at the door of her room, she called with a broken whisper the one name she swore she would never say again:
- Tate?
So, this is my first attempt at writing AHS fiction, so please revew. I would really love to hear your opinion. I might write more chapters to this story (longer ones). I really am in love with this couple. I'll give virtual cookies for reviews xD :)))
