Exuberent and obnoxious were two good words to describe Flavio. In fact there probably weren't any two words that fit him more perfectly than those two. Gilda, while finding him both of the aforementioned things, couldn't help but find him sort of... charming. She would never mention such things out loud, no never. Word got around too fast in this school and the last thing she wanted was anymore unnecessary drama with Olivia, whom clearly had a crush on Flavio, no, she would talk that to the grave with her.
Unless, of course, her shitty little sister, who she honestly should not have mentioned it to, told Olivia of all people. In fact she walked into school the next day and the entire student body was buzzing. Gilda rolled her eyes. Of course Olivia told everyone, in fact, Gilda had reason to believe Olivia had told everyone she had a crush on Flavio, which the thought of crushing on Flavio of all people made her feel a little nauseous.
Not even three steps in the school and Amy grabbed her by the arm and yanked her off somewhere secluded. Amy was seething. "What happened to the whole 'we'll tell each other everything' thing?" Gilda winced at the harsh tone.
"For Christ's sake Amy, do you actually believe I would have a crush on Flavio of all people!?" She was indignant best.
"Aw, what's so bad about me?" A third voice cut in. Gilda froze in place. Of all the people..
She turned, forcing a smile on her face. "Nothing Flavio, it's just strange to assume that I would have a crush on someone so different from me and so out of my league." Too much Gilda, too much. She glanced over at Amy for moral support, but lo and behold, Amy used that moment to slip away. Goddammit.
"Out of your league?" Flavio laughed. "Sweetheart, if anything you're out of my league."
She did not blush. She swore she didn't. "O-oh, thank you."
"You're welcome." Flavio laughed awkwardly. "So, uh, I assume it's not true what Olivia was saying."
"Well sort of, I guess." Gilda shifted in discomfort. "I mean I find you a little interesting I suppose."
There was a brief pause.
"D-do you want to maybe... hang out later," Flavio asked. "Maybe get to know me better."
She smiled a little. "Sure I'd like that."
