(I've written this from two, supporting points of view. One is slash, one is not.
Slash: Mozenrath to Aladdin.
Non-Slash: Jasmine to Aladdin.
I just found that they worked on both levels.)
Tell Me The Story Of
Tell me the story of
your scars
For I am fascinated by the make of you
The absolute
art
of your imperfections
(Your dissembling as you
recount)
Tell me how
these little white pilgrims
these
pinked slashes, marrings
came to crawl across every inch of
sinew
as a river crawls across a mountain face
with all the
sordid determination entailed.
Allude to the fantastic
journeys
you gambled your body with
how you threw
yourself
(brave, gold, dashing)
into the belly of curled lip
flame
the pit of the confrontation
justice is so often fraught
with.
Draw it out plain,
veteran
how the embellishments
could not compare
to the light,
bludgeoning touch
of being
affected by your adventures into grace.
Tell me the story of
your scars,
if you would
let me know how it feels
to sit in
the dark and count them.
