A single she-cat sat on a white fence, her bell on her collar gently rattling in the gentle wind. She looked up and into the forest, a myth in her head. The myth of Firestar, a tom that was once a kittypet that went into the wild to gain his fiery coat. She recalled it with a smile.

WHOOMP

She turned her attention to her friend's fence to see him liking his black paw. Diligent as he normally is. "Well, hello Coal."

The black tom perked up, "Oh Blue, good to see you my dear."

"Yeah," she faced the forest again, "good."

Coal snorted in annoyance, "Don't tell me you're thinking about running into the forest."

"What wrong with running into the-"

"Don't start that again Blue!" growled Coal with a flick of his tail. "The forest is a…"

"Terrible, terrible dirty have-to-hunt-for-yourself place I know," she insisted. Blue turned back to him, half annoyed. Yet she held any anger back. "Say something different for once!"

Coal half chuckled and put his clean paw down. "Okay, how about a little FACT for you."

"Hit me."

"Those CATS kill every day and they go through pain every day too," He sneaked closer to Blue. "They cheat, they kill, and they have a code that they don't follow."

"So?"

Coal studied her eyes to find commitment. She was ready to deal with pain, yet memory made him remember how she can't suffer alone. So with a deep growl he said, "If you are certain to someday leave, then I'll join you."

Blue rolled her eyes and stood up. She then quickly flicked her tail, looked over her shoulder and smirked. "If you insist Coal."
