This is my first fanfiction ever. It's just a little drabble. Enjoy!

"Hey, guys, check this out!" Sokka said as he entered the little house they occupied in Ba Sing Se. Everyone but Toph turned to look at him, and there was silence for a moment.
Katara was the first to react. "What did you do?!" She asked in disbelief.
"Woah! Cool!" Aang piped. Momo flew to the airbender's shoulder and trilled.
"Not cool!" Katara insisted. "Sokka, that isn't permanent, is it?"
"So that's a no." Sokka said. "Aang's a yes. Momo's a..." the flying lemur trilled again "...half a yes. What about you, Toph? What do you think?"
Toph dramatically turned to face Sokka, gave him the blankest stare she could and pointed both forefingers at her eyes.
"Oh, yeah. Here." Toph felt his footsteps through the cool earth floor as he quickly approached. He sat in front of her, grabbing her hand and putting it on his head before she could react. What she found there intrigued her.
"Woah! Spiky!" She patted Sokka's hair. All the hair that was usually put back in a ponytail was standing on end. He must have put something in his hair to make it stand up. What the others were seeing was a very conspicuous mohawk.
"So is that a yes or a no?"
Toph thought about it.
"Oh, come on, Toph! It looks dumb. He's just going to draw attention."
"Hey, I like attention!"
Aang gave Katara a wary look and didn't say anything.
"I think..." Toph announced, "That while it is a very cool hairstyle, it just doesn't work on Sokka."
His face dropped like she'd just broken his heart. She slanted her unseeing eyes in his direction. "You do realize I can't see your hair either way and I really don't care, right?"
He straightened up and looked the other way. "Of course I do." Katara opened her mouth to express her distaste once more, but Sokka cut her off. "And calm down, Katara. It isn't permanent. I'll wash it with soap and water in the morning and you guys will have regular hotstuff Sokka back."
