Darkness… Then, rising from the shadows. Rising… Looking… Sensing… All of these abilities… All at my disposal… But… I need something… Direly… Hearts… And… Something is draining… Intelligence… Replaced with instinct…
I look around… I need a Heart… Hunger… I hunger… I was prey before… Now I am the hunter… I look around and see a human… Running… Running away… Terrified at the sight of me… It runs, but is too slow…
I charge towards it… The prey… The prey falls as I use my claws… Slicing into the human's back… I can sense the Heart… The energy… Pure energy… It is almost mine!
The human falls to its knees… Then, falling still on the rocky ground… It shakes slightly… My right antenna twitches... Hunger… I watch as the human starts to fade… Darkness starts to flow from its wound… Before enveloping its aura…
The Darkness starts to center in one location… Before a sphere of energy leaves the human… The Heart! My own Darkness… I send it towards the Heart… It envelops it... I can feel it! I can taste the pure energy!
The Heart then fades… Not too far away, Darkness starts to center on the ground… Another like me comes from the Shadows… Another Heartless… And we both enter the shadows again… We look for the next human… The next Heart… We hunger… As we always will… And then we sense the next human.
