She sat on a large couch, wishing she could have a quiet moment. "Ally, are you alright?"
She turned toward the familiar voice, "Hi Austin…"
"What's wrong?"
"It's just…really crowded," she shivered, "and cold."
"Sorry, when I invited you, I didn't realize my parents invited literally everyone they knew…I didn't think it'd be this crowded, it usually isn't."
"It's alright."
"Do you want something to keep you warm?"
"That'd be nice," she smiled. He held out his hand and led her to his bedroom. He started searching for his leather jacket. "Any luck?" Ally taunted.
"I can't find my leather jacket anywhere!"
"Austin…"
"What?"
She started to giggle.
"What's so funny?"
"You're wearing it, Austin."
He looked down at himself, "Oh…" he pulled a giant hoodie out of his closet, "Take this!"
"It's huge!"
"You'll look cute in it."
She blushed, "Oh-okay." She pulled it over her head, messing up her hair. Austin walked over and pushed a stray hair out of her face. "Thanks…it's really comfortable."
"Yeah, it's my favorite. I usually sleep in it."
"Oh?"
"Don't worry, I shower at night, so it's nice and clean."
She smiled, then realized it smelt like pancakes, "You keep it on for breakfast too?"
"How'd you know?"
"No reason," she said with a smile. They continued to walk downstairs.
Trish walked over to them, "There you are! I've been looking all over for you!" she noticed what Ally was wearing, "Um, what are you wearing?"
"I was cold."
Trish shrugged, "Let's go, watching Dez play Just Dance 4 is the funniest thing ever!"
"What song is he doing?" Austin asked. Out of nowhere, they heard Dez's voice singing Love You Like a Love Song by Selena Gomez. "Well, that answers that, let's go!" he grabbed Ally's hand again and dragged her into the room with the wii(not to mention the largest big screen tv Ally had ever seen).
"I want to do one next!" Ally exclaimed, "Austin, will you do one with me?"
"Sure!"
Trish smirked, "I'll pick the song!" She put on (I'll Have) The Time of My Life.
They started to dance, and it got awkward extremely quickly. It seemed like every thirty seconds it required physical contact. This was not Ally's area of expertise, she was blushing like a maniac. When they had to spin with their arms around the other's waist, she did everything in her power to avoid eye contact, then came the part that she spun and the video game avatar was playing with her skirt. Ally's dress wasn't that long, she sighed, hoping it wouldn't reveal her underwear. Luckily for her, it did not, and Austin was about a foot away from her so it wasn't extremely perverted looking. The part with the hands around the waist came again, this time she smiled at Austin, suddenly feeling brave, "Thanks."
"For what?"
"Nothing…"
Even though they didn't have to, they finished the dance all the way through with Ally jumping in Austin's arms. Their eyes met and then they heard "TEN…NINE…EIGHT…SEVEN…"
"Ally, I l-"
"THREE…TWO…ONE…HAPPY NEW YEAR!"
"What, Aust-" she was interrupted by his lips placed against her's. She returned the kiss, confused, but ecstatic. They pulled apart, their eyes still locked.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
She nodded her head, speechless for once in her life. He kissed her once more.
"By the way, you look amazing in my hoodie," he said with a grin.
"Thanks," she giggled. "Happy new year, Austin."
I just played Just Dance 4 for the first time a couple days ago, two of my guy friends did that one together, it was hilarious. I thought it'd be a good oneshot theme for Austin and Ally. If you haven't seen it, oh my gosh, it's crazy awkward, I love it muahaha.
