What if Cassidy had killed Veronica on the rooftop at the end of season 2, my interpretation of how Veronica saw life after so many deaths and how people saw Veronica after her death.

As she lay there taking her last breathes she began to think of life and how it cruelly took so many away from her in her short life, and she was now going to join those who had left her behind.

It's only now she realises why all her stars burnt out.

They were too perfect for the world.

So they moved on to the sky,

Where they would shine forever

In the blazes of glory they left the world.

She always wondered why she couldn't have died with them, without them she sometimes felt that life wasn't worth living, as if they had been her focus and without them she was nothing.

It's only now she sees why she couldn't go with them.

She was needed by others to understand their losses.

So even though she wanted to leave with them

She stayed to care and protect those left behind

Who needed her more than words could say.

She understands that she needed to change and become tougher and different to whom she was before she could leave. It was now someone else's turn to carry on the mourning and grieving which had at one point consumed her, it was now their turn to understand how she felt after so many deaths in her brief life.

It's only after she's gone that they realised how much she meant to them.

How much they needed her, relied on her, coped only because of her.

She was the bright star they turned to in life

Who they'll continue to turn to in her death

And always look for in the night sky

Burning the brightest and biggest out of all the stars.
