After the kiss
Everybody knows about Harry and Ginny… but what about Dean? What did he think of the kiss?
Dean Thomas was jealous. There was no other word for it. His newly ex-girlfriend had just kissed Harry Potter. The Chosen One. Dean knew that he didn't stand a chance at getting Ginny back now – nobody could compete with the Boy Who Lived.
Don't get it wrong, Dean and Harry were friends. But Dean would much rather have Ginny than Harry. No competition.
But Dean knew, in his heart, that Ginny didn't love him. When Ginny had told him of her childhood crush on Harry, he had laughed. But when he looked back on it, Ginny's face had turned dreamy and it took her a few moments to get back to reality.
Nothing could be a secret at Hogwarts. Dean knew that by now, the whole school would know of Harry and Ginny's kiss. There was nothing that could be done, and probably, he thought, they would be enjoying each other's company in the school grounds.
To think of Harry, kissing his girlfriend - alright, ex – made him want to hurl. Ginny was his personal property until not so long ago, and that made him glow green with envy. Dean Thomas had turned into a green eyed monster.
