Tuesday morning, 1:30 am
Straining herself out to the living room, a restless Marissa Howe flopped onto her couch, and turned on her television. She couldn't sleep for days, almost going on a week. Her new job as a teacher was turning out to be more stressful than she had hoped for.
"I wish I would just die, so I don't have to put up with this," she told herself.
Then after many moments of silence, a glass was heard crashing, shattering on the kitchen tile. Marissa jumped to her feet.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" She quietly crept around the corner. Fortunately, it was just her pet cat.
"Ugh, Gigi, you know how mommy doesn't like you scaring me." The cat replied with a slight whimper, and then took off. Seconds later, she heard the cat hissing.
"Gigi? Are you okay?"
Wednesday afternoon, 1:48 pm
Reid was impatiently tapping his fingers, waiting for his fellow agents to arrive. Kevin waked by the door, and he caught sight of Reid.
"Good afternoon, doctor." Reid seemed to be ignoring him. He tried again, a bit more stern.
"Good afternoon." Still no reply. He just kept tapping. Kevin got slightly worried, and proceeded to walk up to him.
"Reid?" The doctor finally caught notice of him.
"Oh, hey Kevin. Uh, what are you doing here?"
"Oh, right. I'm, uh, filling in for Garcia today. She came down with hay fever."
"Oh no. Sounds rough."
"Yeah. She should be in tomorrow.
"Good, good, Reid said frailly
"So, how have you been doing?"
"Uh, not too well. I can't get Maeve off my mind. Rossi told me to try, and I tried, but it didn't work." (For those who don't know, Maeve was Reid's love interest) Kevin showed a worried look, but he perked up when the rest of the team showed up.
"So Kevin, fill us in," said Morgan.
"Right. So last night, 32 year old Marissa Howe disappeared in her home in Woodbridge, Virginia. She just started her teaching job. A week before that, Jerry Timberton, a 13 year-old freshman in high school and 4 year-old Mary Kelly also disappeared from their Woodbridge homes." After the case was run down to the agents, Hotch quickly noticed a pattern.
He announced to everyone, "The killer took three people who just started going to a school. He may have had some traumatic event either as or with a new student or teacher."
"There wasn't any sign of a struggle at any of the scenes, no blood, no broken pictures or furniture," Rossi replied. "We need to check the scenes again for anything we could have missed."
Alex agreed. "Rossi and I will take the kid's houses."
"Me and J.J. will go to Marissa's house, then," Morgan replied.
Hotch gave a nod of agreement. "Good. We all know what to do. Let's go."
So guys, give me some reviews on this chapter. I feel like this chapter is going well. What do you think?
