Roye flew through the treetops, finally coming to a stop before a clearing. Four individuals starkly stood out among the space in the woods, a dingy inn situated behind them. A girl with red hair and cat eye glasses was squabbling with a boy with white hair and a purple outfit. A larger one with a shawl draped around him joined in once in while.

Roye recognized none but one, an intimidating teenager clad with a trademark uchiwa symbol on his back.

Sasuke did not seem to notice her. The three other figures were talking amongst themselves, but the lone Uchiha survivor disinterestedly observed their conversation.

"Oi!" Roye called out to the foursome.

They turned to her. Sasuke's eyes immediately narrowed, the beginnings of a frown on his face.

"And who are you?" the redhead demanded, a bit of impatience in her voice as she righted her glasses out of habit.

Roye gestured to Sasuke with an upward flick of her chin, "He can tell you. Can't you, Sasuke-chan?"

Sasuke's frown and hardened gaze were unrelenting as his comrades exclaimed at the audacious familiarity: "chan?"

"S-Sasuke-kun, she's not your girlfriend is she?" the redhead asked.

"Eh, Karin, I guess someone beat you to it," the white-haired boy teased. He had features that reminded her of the Village Hidden in the Mist. Karin proceeded to punch him in his face which exploded much like a water balloon and subsequently metamorphized back.

Roye jumped down from her tree limb. "Won't you tell them, Sasuke?"

"Why are you here?" Sasuke asked.

"Dear, can't I visit you for no particular reason?"

"Just who the hell do you think you are?! Dear? Dear?! You called Sasuke-kun 'dear'?" Karin shouted striding towards her.

"Karin! Don't get too close," Sasuke warned. "She's dangerous."

Karin frowned, and Sasuke's comrades shared uncomfortable looks perhaps because that wasn't something one heard often from Uchiha Sasuke or perhaps because the green-haired girl didn't look it.

"That's not fair, Sasuke. I would never harm anyone for no good reason. Speaking of which..." Roye smiled, tilting her head, "just how did you manage to survive last time?"

The beefy boy with the shawl turned to Sasuke, "Who is this girl, Sasuke? What are we doing standing here?"

"A past comrade," Sasuke said, then turned to Roye, "Why are you here?"

"Oh, Sasuke, what kind of reunion is this? Won't you accommodate me a room, eh? Just the two of us for a night?"

"Eh?!" Karin said and the Mizu nin frowned with bemusement.

"What I don't understand," Sasuke said, ignoring both the parties, "is how you can find me so easily."

"Ty rothi un ho?" (you want to know how?).

"Seth," (yes) Sasuke replied back in code, already knowing how.

"Swra e truh," (give me some truths).

"Ro nei?" (which are?).

Roye gestured to the inn, "hir ney" (not here).

"I?" (why?[not]).

"signs" (trust me).

Sasuke looked contemplatively at her face for a while. His three comrades stood dumbfounded, and the Mizu nin, in particular, could not take the indecipherable exchange. "Just what the hell is going on?"

"Yeah... Sasuke, what language were you even speaking?" Karin asked apprehensively.

"It seems," Sasuke said decidedly, "that a room for two is not all that fanciful a thought." He turned around, walking towards the inn.

The shock on the three's faces was almost palpable. Roye winked at Karin as she passed them to join him.

Author's note: So, basically this is a fanfiction I'm making for fun. You shouldn't really try to review it intensely because I'm not investing that much. If you notice particularly out-of-character scenes than you can let me know because I slip up here and there. The main characters are Roye and Sasuke and Roye's backstory and affiliation with the Leaf will be shortly explored. My chapters may be very short at times as you can see, but once I get in the real plot of this story they'll expand. I don't have too much planned out, so we'll see how it goes.
